your hauls are always incredibly amazing and your media room is exactly that - a museum, and what a museum it is! its not very often you get to see a collector with as much dedication to compile and show off some of the rarest most limited pieces ive ever seen in any collection,. Those premiums up close are so detailed, just things you cant pick up from a flat one dimensional picture off a website so its enjoyable to come across a collector like yourself and see all the really magnificent gems i could never be able to afford myself lol like those amazing busts for example, so thank you for sharing and letting the world see how important physical media and film restoration is because without it and these dedicated independent companies wed still be watching our films in vhs quality but its because of physical media that we now get to enjoy films as far back as the 50's and even earlier now in 4k really is amazing and the only way of preserving that is physically .. The digital era to me is just something a little extra that comes with the movie a breadcrumb result from the physical restoration without that their is no digital and those who think digital will replace it someday well lets all hope not because if that day does happen that would be the first day of the declination of film as we know it .. But enough rambling love the video keep making more!! two thumbs up!!

Excellent stuff mate, was looking forward to your next update. I should really grab that edition of Night Tide, love the colours and Indicator box sets are always fantastic (plus I heard the film is pretty good too haha). Same for Bliss, that movie sounds right up my alley and I'm keen to look into other films by Joe Begos. Will 100% grab My Bloody Valentine as well, I saw the comparisons between the different transfers and this new SF release looks great. Those laserdisc releases look incredible, especially Dawn of the Dead. Sarah and I are so damn jealous of that Three Mothers set, we've been wanting to get a good edition of Suspiria for a long time. Great stuff mate!

Cheers Matthew. Yeah I think you and Sarah will love Bliss. We have similar tastes in our Arrow and VS lineup so I reckon you'll really like that one. Can't wait to watch VFW. My Bloody Valentine is soooo good. I revisited the remake when it arrived and apart from the legend Tom Atkins and some gimmicky 3D gore effects, it's just not in the same league as the original. Regarding Suspiria... there's a beautiful German Ultimate edition released last year that has everything you could ever want. Both the original and the 2018 reimagining on Blu and 4K. Goblin Soundtrack. Special features discs. Posters. Book. It's an amazing set and I think it's still available if you fancy importing it from Germany 👍

I'm due for a revisit of the My Bloody Valentine remake as it's been a long time. And thanks for the heads up on the German edition - I believe I know the Suspiria edition you mean although I didn't know that it still might be available. Great stuff as always mate! I picked up Twin Peaks: From Z to A as well, and haven't even opened it yet! LOL And I really love Indicator these days, and was interesting to learn about Night Tide here. Indicator though can be tricky with their Region codes sometimes. And/or when the limited editions are sold out, they go to a lesser 'standard' casing - which still is considered 'limited' on sites like Amazon et al.

Thanks mate. I'm lucky Australia shares the same region code as the UK so never really have to worry if Indicator's will work or not. Bit strange that some are locked and some are not. I wasn't aware they did that. And yeah, Amazon listing the standards as limited is sucky too, especially as the casings don't match when you've got them all in a row on the shelf. I'd be annoyed if I ordered a limited and only the standard arrived.

Thankfully Amazon's really good about returns. As I had the 'standard' of Christine already, and thought I was getting the limited edition. My heart sank when I opened the package only to see a clone. But Amazon has simple check boxes to select for returns. "Item arrived damaged", "Item was not as described", etc. So I choose not as described, printed a return label from Amazon, and was credited my money back tout sweet! I now try to buy from Indicator directly to be sure.

Finally.. A kindred spirit. You like Terminator Salvation as well!!

Hahaha yeah man, I've always enjoyed Salvation and if they keep rehashing the same storyline again and again, Salvation will be the only original idea the series has had since T2. I didn't even touch on Dark Fate changing Skynet to Legion, I mean that's so generic and lazy 🤣

Hahaha sorry dude... I'm a one take chump. No rehearsal, no voiceover, no editing... probably why I occasionally get names wrong and sometimes can't think of the right words to say 😂.

I hate to let my Aspergers take me over but Dennis Hopper's first film was "Rebel Without A Cause". He also did "Giant" also with James Dean as well as his first of many Westerns "Gunfight At O.K. Corral". He did lots of westerns on tv and in movies and not once did he ride a horse until he did "Mad Dog Morgan" in 1977. I really like your channel because your movies are really rare. Your movie room is very impressive.

Thanks Ken. My mistake. I thought I'd read somewhere it was his first... maybe his first starring role perhaps? My knowledge on cinema before the 60s is pretty weak but I bet there's so many gems worth visiting. The Indicator line from Power House is slowly growing my knowledge on earlier movies from this era and it's great to experience movies I wouldn't typically buy normally. 👍

Nice update dude just. Letring you know idk if you do know but the Batman has been filming for awhile plus. Suicide squad with James Gunn is wrapping in 2 weeks lol so yeah lol keep up the uploads

I don’t think Dark Fate is a turkey really, but it’s oookkk. Arnie is the most entertaining part for me. This was the fourth best film in the franchise. I got that, and Gemini man because I heard they were stunning 4ks.

I'm glad you liked it dude. The 4K PQ was amazing. The majority of people I've spoken to seemed to like it way more than I did. Maybe my expectations were too high. I think I'd convinced myself it was going to be on the same level as T2 because of the return of Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong and James Cameron. Directed by Tim Miller who did a great job with Deadpool. A direct sequel to one of the best movies ever made. All of that and it still just didn't do it for me. It's probably my own fault for having unfair expectations. I'll never get over the sheer crappiness of Carl's Draperies though 😂

Great video's as always, but maybe forget the new lights and think about moving to a larger house!

Thanks Brian. My lady is very supportive but she doesn't spend any time researching what's coming out and she doesn't place her own orders. She'll sit down and watch a lot of the new releases I pick up like Gemini Man and Maleficent 2 but she's not too big on horror. Usually if I'm downstairs watching something old or bloody, she's usually be upstairs watching Netflix or some reality TV show crap like Married At First Sight 😂. We've been together 20 years and when we first met, my bedroom was full of my video collection so she knew what she was getting herself into 🤣. If she wasn't so understanding and amazing I wouldn't have half the collection I'm lucky enough to have.

As a new collector of movies, if I live in the United States , what are the best companies/sites to get special editions . I noticed a lot of the companies you mention are uk or Czech. Thanks for your video!

Probably Germany has the best or most consistent release of special editions. From their limited numbered mediabooks and box sets to the cool bust editions that Nameless Media and Platinum Cult produce. We rarely get any cool special editions here in Australia so most of the time I'm importing from around the world 👍

Thanks for watching. The SF stuff I order from Amazon US. They're the only amazon outside of Australia that will still ship to us. If there's a SF Collector's Edition with figure and print like the recent Night of the Creeps, I'll get one of my friends in America to send that across. Cheers.

Hey buddy. Thanks for watching. I've just clicked through to your first vid - the room tour - and you've got an awesome collection too. You've maximised your room space perfectly. Love the way you have the larger box sets slotted in at the end of the shelves that protrude - looks very cool. Honestly dude, I appreciate you asking for advice but I feel I'm probably the worst to give it 😂. I watch other collector channels and their videos are way more professional than mine. They have intros, music, editing, competitions etc. Mine are so lazy I don't have any of those things. I just line up what I've added, and hit record on the camera. I don't preplan what to say (although I probably should 😂) and I don't edit out the mistakes I make. Just one take, one time. I guess the only advice I can give you is do what feels natural to you. With my videos I wanted them to be all about the artwork and the packaging so I chose not to have myself in the videos and have the camera so it looks like the viewer is looking through my eyes. I like that style - after all, the videos aren't about me, they're about my collection. I hope that helps dude. Keep up the great work and happy collecting! 👍

could you write down places that are best to get blu rays from. I have been collecting for a few years now. Love trying to get special ones. Here in Australia is hard sometimes.

Here in Australia there's only really JB Hifi for steelbooks and occasionally an exclusive box set. Zavvi is great for a range of economy world wide art steelbooks. D&T Mailorder in Germany is usually great for mediabooks and bust editions. And the premiums are best secured through Group Buys on places like Hi Def Ninja and Media Psychos 👍

Do you know where I could get a good (I.e. new) copy of the original Battlestar Galactica (movie) re bluray etc?

Interested to see what Star Wars 4K editions you'll be getting for the month of March!

Completely insane collection. I've finally upgraded all of my DVD's to Blu-ray. The rest haven't made it to Blu-ray. Next up will be finishing up some of my TV series that I started. Personally my main focus is the transfer. Concerning the actual movies. While packaging is important and I love it. I've grown tired of multiple releases of the same film. Mark my words. 4K will be the last physical media format. It's pushing the current technological limits of Hollywood. Zero need for 8K.

Congrats on upgrading all of your DVDs to Blu. Transfer and PQ is important to me too. That's why I shelled out $50 for SFs My Bloody Valentine instead of the $20 local CC edition. The PQ was far superior on the SF release. Consider your words marked 😂👍

That was from Eureka! direct but it's sold out now sadly. Limited to only 1000 copies.

Thanks Nicholas. Yeah the UK ones are in slightly better packaging. I have 2 of them from Zavvi and 3 from JB. It does look a bit weird on the shelf having different sizes but I'm happy the JB ones are still in a Digibook format. Fortunately the JB ones work out way cheaper if you grab them in one of their sales and are still limited as they've all but sold out now. Everyone apart from S23 I just picked up and the future Sylvester McCoy S26 release are OOP now at JB. I imagine they may rerelease them later on in just standard plastic packaging 👍

Thanks Tushar. Yeah I've just picked up the local standard release and have the Zavvi steel preordered. I'd have loved to import one of the German or French steelbooks or digibooks but they don't come with any English subs. Criterion have announced they're going to release it also so even though that will likely be Blu Ray only, it should still be a beautiful release packed with extras.

Haha I know dude... I read your review of the Lighthouse on FB. Definitely a marmite movie for sure. I'm building up to Jay and Silent Bob for the weekend. I started with Clerks and Mallrats at the start of the week. Watched Chasing Amy last night. I loved Dogma and I've got that to revisit tonight. I'll do Clerks 2 on Friday and then a double Jay and Silent Bob on Saturday. Snoochie boochies 😁

Hello, I love your videos... But I have to disagree with you, I just got the QT8 from Nova Media and that might have something to do with my need to msg this :), I just watched Upon a time in Hollywood again and I think he nailed it. The song choices were bang on and perfectly timed, it is a step up from all his films and I can't wait to see #10, its going to be legendary. I wonder if 4K may possibly interfered with his vision and that maybe distracting viewers from seeing its beauty, just a great movie, it really is.

Thanks Darren. I'm glad you loved OUATIH. I probably need to give it another watch to see if my opinion changes. I just didn't find the dialogue as snappy or well written as something like Hateful 8, or the structure and editing as interesting as Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill. Apart from the last 15 minutes it didn't really feature anything truly Tarantino-ish if that makes sense. I think it was a well made movie but far from his best but that's just my opinion and I know there's people out there who see it as a masterpiece 👍

I watch your content every month and I’m a fan, however I have to ask why don’t you have a projector? I mean a minimum 120 inch screen with a top shelf projection set up would really make that collection pop.... anyways just my two cents

I was a former projector owner and down graded to a TV. Mostly to take advantage of HDR and Dolby Vision. Projectors are a fantastic cinema experience however their not suited for everyone or all spaces. They can be a pain in the ass to set up as well. For the home environment I'm perfectly fine with a TV. Just my thoughts and experiences.

Jason Swartzbaugh fair enough, I love mine and you are right on the space requirements... I’ll personally never go back to a tv for the main living room, it’s projection or bust for me, once you have a 135 inch screen it’s tough to go back.

I've always loved going to the cinema and seeing movies on the big screen but it's not something I've ever wanted to replicate at home. Since earning my own money I've always been interested in TV technology and have upgraded many times. I remember when I got my first DVD player and 27" widescreen CRT TV. At the time that thing was a monster. I've had a rear projection TV, several Plasmas, a Philips Ambilight LCD, Samsung 3D TV, Curved 4K TV and now downstairs I use a 78" 4K HDR Samsung LED TV and upstairs in our main living room I have a 65" LG Wallpaper W7 OLED TV (which is by far the best TV I've ever owned) coupled with a Panny UB820. As much as I love watching movies at home, I've always enjoyed the TV experience in home and the cinema experience at the cinema 👍

Wilsonian Movie Museum gotcha, I wish I still enjoyed going to the theater, I can’t stand movie theaters in the area where I live, phones and general lack of decency has made it so I only go when it’s something I can’t wait for, and that’s extremely rare. That’s why I went the projection route, I’ve been collecting for years myself(I’m in my mid 30’s now) so I have the media to support going cinema at home, probably around a 2000 blu ray collection with 4ks/3D as well. I dunno i was just curious if you ever thought about going that route, but to each his own, and I love the content keep it up!!

Do u buy all your blu ray's or do companies send u freebies for talking bout them. Cuz I'm a collector myself. Please give me feedback on what the best way to the most for your money...

I buy all of my movies. I've never had a single free copy from a studio or company. I also make no money from these videos. No adverts. No sponsorships although some companies have reached out. I'm not really interested in making money from KZread. If I was I'd be pumping these videos out on a daily basis 🤣.

How do you cope with the posibility that dvd player and dvds manufacturing come to a halt ? In my country there arent any dvds stores left. Excuse me if the words are not ok. English is not my mother tongue.

Hi Mate, love your videos . you have a amazing collection . thanks to you I started collecting 88 Films Slasher Collection ( 42 movies ). I found all except children of corn 3 ( Blu ray ). do you know where I can found it or the trilogy box either is fine . please let me know ? good night :)

Thanks John. Glad I inspired you to collect the 88 Slasher Series. 88 are such a great label and that Slasher range is awesome. Unfortunately once they go OOS, there's really only eBay unless you're lucky enough to find one on the shelf at your local HMV in the UK. I checked Zavvi and they only have Children of the Corn 2 still available. No Number 3 or box set sadly 👍

After 5 hours of research the internet I was able to found them from a UK website called Elite Soundtrack they are still selling 88 films and do have the trilogy Children of the corn blu ray .so I jump on them , very happy I found them to be able to collect them all at this time its a little miracle :) . So I decided to continu with the 88 films collection .my next pick up will be the vault since they only have 10 films and after ill start for the italian collection . A Huge thanks to you cause without you I woulnt found this amazing label :). btw do you know if they stop the Slasher collection ? its been 3 months since the number 42 .

@@johnmclain7218 No worries John and great to hear you found one. I've never heard of Elite Soundtrack but that's great you've got a source to get the out of print stuff. I've got the 10 editions from the Vault series - Deadtime Stories and Body Melt are my favs but I don't have all the Italian collection. I'm slowly grabbing what I can whenever there's a sale on. And as far as I know the Slasher series is still ongoing. It took them ages to finally release Christmas Evil and Terror Train so even though there hasn't been any new ones since these, they haven't officially cancelled the series so I suspect we should hear more about the next titles fairly soon 👍

@@wilsonianmoviemuseum8420 If it is a little expensive for the shipment but it is worth every penny, I had not realized that you have the face of death a classic fake documentary, quite crude but it is a reality of how society is living today, that I want it in My collection has if I am lucky enough to find it

I have a few editions for sale scream factory titles and arrow not brand new but in brill condition if you are interested let me know I can send you picks moving from collecting films and collecting other things I'd like you to see photos anyway

Wouldn't you rather have a lot of different and rare movies than 10 copies of Age of Ultron and garbage like that?

Not really no. I don't have the time to watch everything I add to my collection anyway so if I did end up buying even more different and rare movies, they'd just sit on shelf not being enjoyed. The multiples I buy are so I can admire the artwork on the shelf. Means I can still grow an amazing collection and get around to watching all the movies I buy that I want to watch.
