Wilson Staff Model - Golf ball review

Today I review the Staff Model and Staff Model X golf balls from Wilson Golf.
In 2020 the Wilson Staff Model ball was one of the best golf balls on the market for consistency and I was keen to see if the new model lived up to its predecessor and also against its new firmer brother (the staff model X)

Both balls and their numbers look good! I play the 2023 Staff model. I am very satisfied with its performance, it is very forgiving for a tour level ball, good spin characteristics too! Thanks

Yeah the numbers were really good. The Staff Model is such a great ball. The X was just a bit hard for me and difficult to judge the distances
Enjoyed this video as Peter Finch's comment when playing with Padraig Harrington on the Staff Model intrigued me enough to check the reviews and I really liked the test of 3 clubs and ball reaction.

Yeah 100%… goes a long way with driver though
Would like to see what your thoughts are on course as well Playing a zstar diamond, be interesting to see how it performs on course as it's probably considered less of a premium ball (in people's perception..?)

@@dalewrightgolfin terms of what dispersion worse too spinny/ not spinny enough? I’ve played normal Wilson staff for a while really like them toying trying the X but apprehensive ha

@@kane3952 So I’ve been using the Staff model and model X out on the course. The model is brilliant all round and just feels great. The model X probably goes a few yards further off the tee… (maybe 5 yard tops) but around the greens and from 90yards in, with the ball being rock hard it’s really difficult to control the distance. Even on little chip shots it just feels inconsistent off the face. Big difference between the balls in terms of distance control for me. It’s just too hard.

Yeah, they’ve had a little bit of a rebrand haven’t they.
