    @@ACTennis 1 quick question for you as you’ve done a review for both Clash 100 and Clash 100 pro already with possibility that I might miss some of your words in the video. The question is ; between going for a Clash 100 Pro, and modding the weight on Clash 100…which one should I go for in terms of softness and control…??? I’m still quite strong myself so a racket that weights around 330-340 is still fine for me. I just remember you saying in the video that the feeling is different between these 2 with different styles of swing so I want to gather your opinion as much as I can before I make a purchase. @@samprasfoon06 I would say that if you want more control, go with the Pro, it seems that the 16x20 Pro version over the 16x19 10 model does seem to give you a better ability to control the ball If you like the higher launch angle and a little bit more spin, then the 100 would do better, but i also think it may give you too much power by the time you weight it up to the same as the Pro, since i feel it's slightly more erratic Softness shod relatively be the same, more dependent on the string and tension i think, just go with what you normally use and adjust from there

    Great comparison. thanks so much for the time and effort you have put in to getting this info together. Im currently playing with Ezone100 with HyperG soft. Periodically I still get some tennis elbow issues with it (I had bad tennis elbow about 6 years ago but recovered after taking 6 months off tennis). Out of the 2 models which do you think is better for tennis elbow? Does the extra weight of the Pro give more arm issues compared to the 100? Or are both equally as good in that area?

  • @ACTennis

    @ACTennis

    8 ай бұрын

    Both are equally good, and it would be more dependent on technique and what suits your style - for example if you use a heavier racquet, and due to the weight being heavy, it forces you to arm and muscle the ball more, then it could adversely create more issues for tennis elbow On the contrary, a racquet too light, where you feel like it requires you to hold the grip really hard and feel like you have muscle the ball because you are not getting enough power, then also brings the same issue in a different way Added weight does help with overall vibrations as well, just as long as it meets your needs, i.e. you are strong enough to use it If you want to use poly , take your favourite poly, use it on the main string, and hybrid it with either head lynx touch, alu power vibe, or my favourite is tier one ghost wire (now known as tru pro ghost wire) those 3 strings essentially do the same thing, which is create a softer string bed, whilst allowing you to use full poly

As a bit of a racquet alcoholic, I am considering trying other racquets such as the PS97 (315g), Clash 100 (to customise) and Clash 98. THe PS97 and Clash 98 are tempting as I would be playing with them in stock form. The Clash 100 has room for customisation. Any advice will be most welcome. Thanks for wonderful reviews. Really helpful. Would it be a bad idea to get a 100 Pro v2 as a beginner? I have been training for 2 months with an old Wilson Hyper staff 6.1 95 which i found out recently is a heavy racquet. Now the weight is not a problem to lift (6ft, 95kgs) but being a beginner i find myself slow to maneuver and position myself especially for the one-handed backhand. And mishits and adding power to shots cause slight elbow area pain which doesn't happen otherwise during playing or afterwards. So i am thinking of getting the Clash because of the comfort and 100 inch head. But i am wondering if i get the 100 Pro v2 instead of regular 100 v2 as i don't want something too light from the HPS i am using? Or should i stick to 100 v2 and add weights to it? I don't mind some learning curve with the pro as i intend to stick to the racquet for a year or two atleast. Also don't have demo options or other ways to try so have to pretty much get my purchase right. I am also thinking of Head Speed MP/Pro as an alternative but Clash sounds good because of the comfort.

  • @ACTennis

    @ACTennis

    No issues to use the Pro, if you feel comfortable with it, otherwise yeah can go light version and build it up so that it's more exactly what you want, just feel multiple ones in the hand when you hold it to buy, choose the one that feels relatively closer to what you want, you might find the quality control to be quite a variance, so better to check on your personal feel

Now, since weights are out 😥 at 40, I'm back into tennis (can still smoke a backhand but have unsurprisingly lost a lot of pace and power on forehands). I've been playing with Head Graphene 360 Instinct MP strung at about 50 lbs with 17g Wilson NXT string. I'm here watching bc literally TODAY I received my Clash 100v2 Pro strung low 50s with Head Lynx just like the host mentioned 🤔 Hmmm, must be something to that. Its supposed to be very arm-friendly. I cannot wait for this 100°F+ heat to subside and hit the court with the new stick. Edit- the Head Lynx is on an Instinct MP that I haven't hit with yet. The Blade Pro is string with Luxilon Smart. TBH the Wilson NXT is very arm friendly for me and nice and cheap. Higher gauge, thinner strings seem to be more forgiving on my arm/shoulder.

    Would you have elbow pain with a polyester hybrid combined with multifilament? That would help with control - you can try soft polyester like Head lynx touch , up to you for main or cross string and stick with a similar tension, maybe 2lbs lower on the polyester If you have the light version of the Clash 100 (so not the Pro version in this video) , i would just try to copy the specs of the Pro version - so you would need to add 10g total - maybe 6g to the handle , and another 2g each side to 10 and 2 oclock

    @@ACTennis already played for 3h with new Clash100v2. I got mine on spec 296g. Strings Grapplesnake Tour M8 1.25 at 25/24kg. Not happy with too much power and control, but my arm is very happy after playing with Clash 🙂 What string you can suggest for more control/spin and less power ? Lux Alu Power ? I have good feeling from Boom MP with Alu Power Soft.

    @@mindaugasbogusevicius3196 Generally they will have to be on the stiffer side if you want deader spin polys, but Lead Lynx Tour probably if you want a shaped drink, Head Hawk Touch if you want a smooth string or Yonex Spin G are ones that are spinny but low powered

    Is there any difference between v1 and v2 and isit worth upgrading to v2?

    Not really , only if you like the cosmetic better, or you want a slightly stiffer feel that is a bit more traditional feeling than the original v1, the rest is basically the same

    How would this compare with the Blade V8 98, I’m over 50, and I don’t move as well as I used to, cheers

    Blade v8 with no customisation will be quite low powered, needs alot of effort to swing, but will be much faster through the air because it's aero dynamic, much more of a control racquet than the Clash, and won't be anywhere near as stable without any added weight, bit more of an advanced racquet

    @@jonm2522 No i don't think so , the pro staff would be the hardest to use of them all, the clash is definitely the easiest powerful - in the past the Blade used to be in between the Clash and Pro staff, but now it's moved into more advanced like a Pro Staff
