I remember an email from years ago I sent to Ron asking if he'd ever review WIlson Audio speakers and he said they probably wouldn't send anything over to reviewers as small as he was at the time but I'm happy to see he grew his channel and eventually reviewed them!

Thanks for the review. How do the Sabrina’s compare to your NX-Octica’s and OB subs? If you could be specific that would be helpful. And also which do you speaker do you prefer overall?

Do you have the Dutch 8c active monitors in your pipeline? For $12,000 it goes down to 20Hz using DSP to couple with the front wall and with full room correction it can be an end game speaker system replacing everything after the preamp (including subwoofer).

@New Record Day Ron so now that you have reviewed the Wilson's what is the best speaker that you have heard. Have you had a chance to listen to any Magico speakers? I am interested on your take on them if you have. I just upgraded from dynaudio c1 platinums to a pair of magico s1mk2. They were a considerable upgrade from the dynaudio. There is something magical about the Magico sound.

@@Newrecordday2013 I disagree :D. I enjoyed it quite a bit. The first video of yours that I watched was a refreshing take on the whole 'audiophile' stuffy review process. I feel that your videos open up, bring in some fresh air to an otherwise bland subject -I prefer reading about the music, not what reproduces it. For me anyway, I took the whole 'bro' thing as humor via excessive pleonasm.

Hello old & new Rons @ NRD. Before posting this comment I decided to read every comment & counter comment to see what people were saying. Wow, you got a range from lovers to haters & even an un-sub in the mix, colour me Impressed! First of all thanks for the review. I’m sure you know this, but no matter what direction you go, there will be opposition as well as acceptance for your body of work, but I think you have a good bunch of people/fans supporting you and cheering you on. I personally got excited when you gave us “a warm welcome back to New Record Day”, and was sad not to hear at least at the end, Sue’s voice whisper carelessly into the mic 🎙, “New Record Day” oh well, you can’t win them all... let’s get down to the brass tacks... lighting for the most part was spot on, with some of your b-roll segments a little muddy. The sound quality of the older gentleman was lacking, but you know that already, no big deal. I first tried to listen to this on my break at work, but wasn’t able to here him well enough, & I knew I wanted to listen to this review even though I am more interested in Magico’s over Wilson’s, so I just waited till I got home and into my quiet space & don’ed my P7’s and sat back to spend some time with you and yours. Script vs Unscripted....well in all reality I enjoy both. Your style is unique... & you do both well...in fact doing the voice over of specs as a scripted part could still find a place in your future reviews...imho. Unscripted can be fun as well, but you might miss a point or two, so you could always add an epilogue/bonus track (partially scripted if need be) at the end for the things you missed, exercising your awesome b-roll footage skills for us to marvel at, sir captain...wham... I love your stuff, feel the passion you portray, & have a deep respect for you and your craft. Keep up the good work, & as always, I hope for the best for you & yours! Ps, have you ever watched The Expanse?

High end audio is expensive, and I respect and accept that. At these prices, it's not a surprise on how good they sound, but should be expected. I appreciate videos more that offer equipment at a more modest price, but would approach the excellence that the high end gear typically produces. Now that would be a welcome type of review I would appreciate!

Just saw this review, so sorry I'm late with comments. From what I've seen of more recent reviews, you've revised your "editorial" style with respect to reviews. Overall I found the review informative and thoughtful. Some "kaizen" input offered in the best Japanese sensibility for continuous improvement: 1) the jump cuts between two "narrators" was distracting and 2) I'm with Bodhisattva that the "bro" and "dude" got pretty tiresome pretty quickly. I'd take a page from Linn-Sondek's tagline for many years, "Simply Better". Keep it simple and concise. Darko's approach is a good model. Cheers and best regards.

Thx for the video -- the Sabrinas are a nice pair. You could've easily trimmed 25 minutes off this video. With a whiskey in one hand and a cigar in the other, you could've sat on your couch and explained that if one were to spend $50,000+ USD on a 2 channel system it would sound pretty great. I appreciate the effort in making the video, but it falls completely into the 'nothing new here' category.

In wonder what the sound would be if you put a pair of focal or b&w with such setup. Moreover, digital music will sound better. Get a good DAC and a good streamer.

Ron well I thought it was a fantastic review something very different a lot of work was obviously put into it and very appreciated and entertaining BUT. I love your old reviews just as much.. P.S. I don't know why you never do a digital review of something those hi res Flac files or DSD files I can't afford to buy every record again I already have them in a digital format just saying Steve Costello... P.S. again I can't wait till you pull them out into the room and let us know what it sounds like compared to the professionally placed setup...😁😁😁

New Record Day I guess it depends on how deep you want your bass to go. My Sopra 2’s go to 27 hz and have really deep powerful bass and for the first 2 months I thought I would never need a sub. Then I properly dialled in a REL S5 SHO via speakon and realised how much I was missing. It also adds more texture and body and soundstage. Just much more like a live event and until you AB it you don’t realise what you’re missing. Now if someone takes it away it’s like they took your drugs away I can’t live without it

I much prefer your old format from a couple years ago. This whole "two Ron's" stuff is annoying, and saying "bro" every five seconds makes it even worse. The interview was the good part of the video. I only got as far as the paper woofer and midrange" part of the review. After that, I couldn't take the two Ron's and countless "bro's" anymore and stopped watching. If this is the new format you're taking on, I'll be unsubbing as well. Sorry bro...

Knee jerk reaction of someone who has never heard a speaker like his but is only reacting to the price. I heard this so many times when I was selling Wilson "They CAN'T be worth THAT much!"I'd just tell them to go to the CD rack, pick out something they knew well and I'd play it for them,. Usually withing 30 seconds I'd see their eyes bug out, their jaw clank to the ground and I'd see the wheels turning thinking which of their children they could sell to get a set of these speakers.
