Wilmington & Western 58: The Fireworks Express (4K)

The Fireworks Express is an annual tradition that the Wilmington & Western Railroad operates in conjunction with the Historic Red Clay Valley and the town of Hockessin. It draws families from all over that come to enjoy a ride through the beautiful Red Clay Valley, and witness the yearly Fourth of July fireworks display that Hockessin hosts each year. Wilmington & Western's own Baldwin-built 0-6-0 "Switcher" #58, known fittingly as the "Veterans Locomotive", has the honor of pulling this excursion this year. Donned in American flags and red, white, and blue bunting, the locomotive is a sight to behold as the head of this excursion as it winds through the railroad's winding right of way out to Hockessin to celebrate the anniversary of America's birth. Now, please enjoy this exciting video brought to you by Blue Comet Productions!
This video was filmed on July 4th, 2023.
Special thanks also goes to Steve Barry for providing lighting at Hockessin during the fireworks.
