Willys Jeep Rear body mount fabrication

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I am continuing on the Willys CJ3B body tub build. Today I am making some custom rear body mount brackets that will help keep your Willys from rusting out.

i really love your videos, you are so good at what you do. Is there any way I can buy a set of those body mount supports? I'm restoring a 1946 cj2a and i'm very new at this. Thanks for doing all those great videos.

I have a 71 CJ5 that has a serious body rust problem. If I sent pics could you give your opinion on if repairable or just replace whole tub?

You can get USA made panels from me anytime that are about the same cost as the overseas junk that all dealers are selling. I am working on a CJ3A right now so keep watching as I make some panels to fix it.

I have built many complete tubs over the past 30 years, for customers who wanted a quality built vehicle. I have had many hundreds of Willys pass thru my doors for simple work or complete restorations.

What does it cost for a full new steel tub fenders grill hood windshield? Do you do it in stainlees steel?

Tai-Chong Honokaupu It depends on the original vehicle condition. I always start with a donor vehicle when building a new tub and reuse as much as I can during the rebuild. As you will see in the later videos I always try to save original cowl and firewall. Every vehicle restoration has a different price based on many factors.

do you stamp dash gauge holes? do you have a pattern for gauges

I put gauge holes in with chassis punches and then carefully file in the notch in the bottom of each hole. I lay the cluster out carefully first based on the original dimensions and then punch the holes.

Do you own a Willys jeep at this time? All that salt air must be a real problem on anything made of metal.
