I met Jim Kelly at Comic-con over ten years ago. He was very friendly and nice to talk to. I told him that he could have beaten Han in Enter the Dragon if it weren't for those birds. He laughed. He allowed me to take numerous photos with him at no charge. He was a nice person. May he RIP

Han had the element of surprise in this fight. Williams seriously underestimated Han at the beginning. He didn't realize or even begin to contemplate how much of a threat he could be until Han caught him off guard with that iron hand of his. Then once the pigeon broke loose and distracted Williams, Han capitalized on that opening and it was all over from there. Han pretty much met his match later with Bruce Lee, though. All of his skills, tricks, weapons and defense couldn't help him against Bruce.

He wasn't suppose to get killed in the movie, but because of his movie credit as a new kid in the block. But there were different rumors complaints between agents concerning John Saxon who played Roper didn't want him to get killed. So instead they wanted Jim to die in the film. Therefore it was his second film. John had more acting experiences in the film industry.

Seeing Han's hands on display in the glass cabinet was a very eerie and exciting moment. Like, the knife blade hand Han uses later on. I remember standing there in the exhibition looking at it thinking "I've seen this countless times on the TV when I've watched the movie, and right now in this moment its inches from my face. Were it not for the glass I could touch it." Ahh Hong Kong, I'll go back there! :D

Jim Kelly was a great martial artist but, i mean, they played characters in the movie and Saxon's/Kelly's characters were both supposed to be good fighters. You should not compare to real life. Kelly was indeed a better martial artist, that doesn't mean his character can't lose a fight. He wasn't really portraying himself.. It never bothered me that much that they changed the script. Williams's death was very emotional and brutal. I was a bit sad to see him go but it was a very good scene. I also liked that Roper in the end couldn't be persuaded by Han to join his organization, finding out his friend was dead. It showed he had moral and was still a good guy. In that way i liked his team up with Bruce.

Then and now it is no different! Asians tent to play more towards Europeans than any other race outside of their own! And I will never quite understand that considering all the bad things Europeans have done throughout American history! Maybe all the Asian cultures don't know any better because they believe the lies that America tells about bad Europeans doing good things like Christopher Columbus for instance!

Marcus, if you watch. Wiiliams/Kelly figured out Han. He easily blocked Han twice with his superior reach just before that bird interfered in the fight and swinging the momentum of the fight in Han's favor.

The first time I saw this back in the 80s, I could not believe this dude got killed like this. I know it's only a movie but It had me feeling depressed. And finally when they dropped him in the Acid pool, I wanted to cry.

@@victordeltoids8609 I was a kid, and Jim Kelly was like my Hero. And I wasn't really use to seeing death on TV at that point in my young life, Especially the way he died. When he hit him with that fake hand, and it was leaking, and those girls laughing, that started my misery. It was like a total shock. Just seemed real, and so final to me. Lol

Man you come right out of a comic book. I was in high school when "Enter The Dragon " came out. A teacher that I didn't like & he didn't like me said something strange to me. I said those words that Jim Kelly said and that teacher just looked at me strangely. He didn't have a clue what I was saying & I liked the saying from Williams. It's sad how Williams was killed at least he went down fighting. Williams was also cool Cos he didn't revealed to Han who else was outside during the night. That's what's called being a Man he didn't back down.

0:20 the greatest dialogue in a martial arts movie ever, “ we are all ready to win, just as we are born, knowing only life. It is defeat that you must learn to prepare for“. “I don’t waste my time with it . When it comes, I won’t even notice.” “Oh, how so?”. “ I’ll be too busy looking good.”

I thought Han was a little better of a fighter, but the iron fist gave him the decisive advantage. Also the birds didn't help Williams. I know Williams was better than Roper tho.
