    I rambled on the hill above the house, too, once, not to gather wild thyme, but, um, to get unceremoniously soaked en route to Alcock Tarn. I gave up about 3/4 of the way up the hill. :) Wordsworth's Lake District is a place of great beauty, never mind wet jeans and shoes.... :) Lovely video segments, brings it all back. So verdant and fresh, everything there.

    @HerAeolianHarp Hah, I started to feel quite envious until I read further down... actually I'm still envious. Indeed, what are jeans and socks compared to experience and a handful of thyme? I feel like making holiday plans...

    @ImpossibleParadise Ha ha, yes, well worth it to. For some reason some of my happiest memories of the UK (my second home) are of getting soaked in places like Grasmere and Haworth. Squishy shoes notwithstanding, it is so worth it--or maybe my memory is clouded by the postscript of things like sticky toffee pudding or ginger cake with rum butter... all the tastier when one is drying off indoors. :)
