This is where I feel that reason begins to break down. Everything is turned upside down. The work has its own logic but sometimes it defies explanation. I feel Blake is pointing to something more subtle, the ungraspable nature of the "religion" he sees. Thank you for your explanation, you are adding a further dimension to my understanding of this GREAT work

Your videos are very good! Thank you for teaching us! Pertaining to the woman and the child, it could be the woman trying to save the child from Hell/sins. Or...maybe they are just two iconic symbols for the beginning of life. Interesting though!

I have often wondered if it could it be a devil snatching the child from heaven? The devil in the wilderness and the angel enflamed in Heaven.
