Not from a mom's perspective. She was calling to check on them, a lively short chat is better than tears and problems. She was calling to check on them, they were having a great day playing like normal kids. I'm certain she giggled at their normal kid behavior and cherished the fact that they were happy.

William and Harry dealt with it differently. William totally absorbed the tradition and harry sort of rebelled. This really breaks my heart

It’s a very difficult thing I lost my biological mother at 12 but I never knew her well

I never really bought into the whole collective grief thing in the days immediately after Diana's death. People wandering around outside Buckingham and Kensington Palaces weeping and wailing. My only thoughts were for the two boys and what they were going through and how I thought their grandmother did exactly the right thing in keeping them at Balmoral away from the glare of media attention. Watching these two young men and how they've developed it is clear that their mother's brief influence on their lives has lasted. She did indeed leave them an invaluable legacy. So now they've opened up about her as a tribute in the 20th anniversary of her death I hope this will satisfy people and we can now, finally, allow her to rest in peace and that there won't be any need for further public anniversaries.

My heart still breaks for 2 lovely boys now men who lost a wonderful mum too early..

It’s hard to go through something like that at such a young age. My Mom passed unexpectedly when I was ten. It isn’t something you ever really get over you kind of just accept it. I know it’s hard when you want her around during this time in your life. She would be proud of what her boys have accomplished and will accomplish.

I'm so glad William makes sure his kids know about his mom, and I'm sure Harry does the same. My mom made sure I knew about her dad even though he passed before I was born, and through all the stories I feel like I knew him. I've cried many times that we never got to meet physically. Keep their memory alive. It's so important.

I think it's fair to say, that it's one of the saddest moments in most people's lives, is to lose their mother, no matter who or what they did.

im sure them being brief on the phone made her smile at the time... she knew you both wanted to go have fun with your friends ♡

So many label these two as "spoilt", "snobs", "entitled" or "freeloaders"...I have no doubt that they would trade in everything for their mother back in a heartbeat. It's got to be immensely painful for William that he can't take great joy in letting his mother take her grandchildren out for the day or go shopping with her daughter-in-law. Harry will feel those emotions aswell when he eventually becomes a dad.

They shouldn't feel any remorse. They were just children. We don't know when is our last day in earth. We just have to make the best of it, and give our unconditional love, just like Diana did to her children and the world.

Yet Harold is so traumatized because Wills got the bigger bedroom in Balmoral.

20 years later his mom spirit was still very alive she can be felt everywhere her love to the world is legendary.

It’s so hard to loose a parent so young. My mother died when I was 10 and my sister was 14. Don’t feel bad because that is how your last conversation went. No one could have known what was going to happen.

We don’t get to know when we’re going to lose someone. Those boys have nothing to regret. Their mother left this world knowing her boys adored and loved her. And that they knew her love for them.

Your mom loved you and she would be the first to hug you and assure you that she is very proud of you and she will be with you again. I do understand the regret. I also have a hard time forgiving myself for not doing more for my mother and dad. I think it is part of being human with a heart.

This is why you need to spend every moment with someone as if it’s your last, not in a sad way but yeah. It’s nothing relatable to losing your mother but I’ve lost a few cats that I’d had for YEARS. One was with me since I was born and the other not far after. I was away on a trip when the second cat needed surgery for his eye, his liver failed in surgery and he passed away. I didn’t know until I came back home from the other country and I was heart broken. I didn’t even really get to say goodbye

When they said that that’s granny Diana I felt that so deeply❤ it brought tears to my eyes🥹❤️

This is so sad!! The fact that u never when u can loose someone so priceless!!! I live in France and I’m from New Zealand, and all my family is in New Zealand. I miss them all so much and my grandparents r getting old. They call everyday, and most of the time I just tell them how much I love them then I ask them to leave so I can watch yt. Spoilt children. At least they had good memories. Unlike the little boy who lost both legs because his parents inflicted horrible injuries. So boys let the past be a good memory of Diana and move on.
