We had the privilege of having her in our home in Paris when she visited France !!! What a lady !!! We invited all our neighbors to come, she played the piano and sang . never forget her !!!

She was such a warm a beautiful lady. Back in 1970, I invited Willa to my high school to give a lunch hour concert, and the students loved her. Most were not Christians, and it wasn't even close to their music style, but she touched all their hearts.

One of my favorite hymns. I was watching this crusade when Willa Dorsey performed this majestic song of praise so many years ago. I was a youngster then. Now I am 69 years old. What a huge, powerful blessing this was for me then and now. I thought I would never see nor hear Willa Dorsey perform "It Is Well With My Soul" again. I could not remember her name from when I first heard this so what to do? But here it is on KZread. I don't remember how I found this tonight but it has made me whole. One more item off my bucket list. How anointed Ms Dorsey was bless her soul!! It is such a blessing to reconnect to this soul stirring singer and special song again after so many years. Praise GOD.

I grew up in the Portland, Oregon area, and one of my fondest memories of Christmas is listening to this beautiful woman singing about the Baby Jesus on an annual television broadcast every Christmas night. What a voice, and what a beautiful heart she had!

Willa Dorsey gave a concert at Hannibal LaGrange College in 1975. My husband & I were blessed to spend two days in her presence & to drive her to the airport when she departed. WOW, what a magnificent voice & she accompanied herself on the piano. She had left the Lawrence Welk Show because the producer wanted to feature her on pop & jazz, but she couldn’t forsake her commitment for sharing the gospel through song🎶❤️⭐️

My Lord...What an anointed singer..She would always bring me to tears...I remember her from the Deliverance Ministries Under the late Apostle Skinner....Together again...what a joyous time........

I remember walking into River Oaks Bank in Houston, Texas - (in the mid 80s) and Willa Dorsey was in the lobby singing Christmas carols - what a voice - what a moment!

This woman is just plain sick. I've heard choirs sing this and get goose bumps, but hearing her and yes, watching her, I get goose bumps on top of goose bumps. Tears are streaming down my voice as I listen to her once again sing this awesome song. If you wanna hear and see more of her, listen to her and little Diane Bish group together for the most beautiful rendition of "His Eye Is On the Sparrow". But wait ... before you do, get the tissues because you're gonna need them. Promise!
