He's such a lovely man. Such a crooner. In a time where the popular thing to do was belt and project (I still love a good belter!) he went in the opposite direction and gave us something really old-fashioned and easy to listen to. I've gone back and watched his performances on Pop Idol and I'm in shock over how he manages to make every song sound like his own. It was never a direct cover which runs the risk of sounding very karaoke with the cheap backing tracks they had at the time. He's great.

I feel like he def could’ve chosen a better song to showcase his voice sadly the audience probably got bored with his slow song which is why he scored so low in the end:( but his talent is def underrated

He did a José Feliciano version cover of this song, not The Doors, it changes everything completely

I cant believe that polish judges comment was fake and set up...just to make the show more interesting..what a load of bollocks

It was not set up. Im Polish and i think the same. The best way to describe this performance is Mr Bean singing. Kuba Wojewodzki (polish judge) likes to shock but he really dislike this way of singing. Me too.

I'm Polish too and this guy really is this kind of jerk. The real question is, who on earth thought it was a good idea to let him represent our country there?

The reason this was stopped was due to rude judges.

​@@deenagara9151 yeah well... I'm Polish and i remember how we all were embarassed of him after that show. I still can't believe that out of four judges they decided to let this guy "represent" our country. Such a shame they've chosen the biggest jerk. I remember that even the contestant from our country scolded him on that stage after she sang her song, for being so rude to other contestants.

Yeah! The Polish guy pissed me off the most. At least with Simon and the Australian judge (Ian Dickson) their rude in a funny way and have some good constructive criticism. The polish guy was just a Douchebag!

I think it would have been unprofessional to do so in a world setting like that. The atmosphere was different. The context was different.

I wish he did. i'm Polish and i still can't believe they sent this jerk to represent our country when we had much nicer other judges.
