The "I didn't want to fall in love but I couldn't help it" hit HARD because he grew up super religious (I did too) and thought marriage was just a choice and God had nothing to do with "making people for each other" because the udea of "soulmates" was a "pagan belief." I pointed out lots of times in the Bible when that simply was not true, and said that no God worth worshipping would leave such a life-altering thing as marriage up to pure chance. We'll see if he outgrew the church and has begun to grow in Jesus. (Yes I have ill feelings towards organized religion. Sorry. Don't mean to offend anybody.)
