I so appreciate seeing Jess. I had just been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, when Jess got her head shaved and went through her chemo. Just after Christmas, I underwent Bone Marrow transplant and the chemo caused all of my hair to fall out. Watching Jess handle this, with such grace, has been giving me strength. So, thank you.

1. How could your 1st grade teacher hate you?! You were probably always kind and a hard worker…even in first grade! My first grade teacher was so mean to me! I’m 74 and I still remember her fingernails clawed into my shoulders! Man that hurt…. ( I talked a lot!). Waaay back then parents didn’t complain about the teachers, so nothing was done. 2. No one should complain about how you have been blessed! That is petty. You and Mark work very hard on your farm! You deserve any blessing that you get! So travel and take us with you! Please please please.... I know you have your hands full but could you would you PLEASE set up a good size area for the lambs to run and skamper and jump and kick like they love to do? You know we love to see them just having the time of their lives. Just set the camera on them for about 10 minutes and let them go. Then return the barn to normal. If the world could watch your lambs cavorting for 5 minutes each day we'd have a Kinder gentler world.

Girl, Do your bucket list! Have fun and live your life. Enjoy every minute you can and don't regret a second of it. I tell that to everyone I know. No matter how big or little your pocketbook there are always places to go and things to see.

We had an empty nest for about 2 yrs. Then our adult daughter moved back in during Covid. A year after that our son discharged out of the Air Force from England. He had no where to go. 2 yrs after that his daughter came to live with us and our daughter moved out. We are now with a full house again. Oh yes 2 medium dogs and an Alaskan husky to fill and empty spaces 😂😂😂 Sandy enjoy your space. One day you’ll be filled with kids and grand babies ! Please ignore the low grade people who want to make you feel bad for vacationing with your hubby. Your marriage needs as tender care as you do newborn lambs.

I have been empty nesting for the past 5 years, sorta. I find the kids come home off and on between moves, courses etc but in general I am an empty nester. I am now at the point where “I love to see my kids coming to visit, and I am also happy when the door closes behind them as they leave”. Once you get into the routine of a clean, quiet, organized house you really appreciate it.

It’s like Kenzie is in the barn to work, work, work! It is her happy place for sure 🐾

Where we lived in South Dakota, our water was brought in once a month, everyone bathed in the same water....and I am only one year older than Mark! We didn't have private phone lines. AND....we only had heat in one room of the house....the family room. brrrrrrrrr. Hey, we all survived, and have great stories for our kids!

Me too. We were on a well though. Water was always saved. Grey water for laundry. Saturday night bath. Our upstairs didn’t have heat. I slept under 6 blankets and quilts in the winter. I remember when my cousins got indoor plumbing in 1970’s..

That is so wild! I clearly remember Dad scraping the ice off the inside of my bedroom window! One winter it got so cold, all three of us slept together on the pull out couch in the living room just to stay warm. I wouldn't trade any of it for anything else!@@juliemoses1909

On the bobcat, oil leak problem. One thing to check is a Crank case filter. If this filter is clogged. It will cause higher than normal pressure in the Crank case, this will cause oil to push past gaskets and oil seals. Most people don't realize it need to be replaced once and year in harsh working environments, and low rpm. Use. (if you remove the oil filler cap and there is a lot of blow by, either the Crank case filter is clogged or the piston rings are bad.) Check air filter to. There are several other things it could be but this is the one most overlooked. #2, make sure the mechanic used the correct oil. Looks like this is a diesel engine. This is a good engine normally.

I know this is a farming/family sheep and cereal meeting place. But thank you so much for showing the Lego flowers on here. I have never seen them before. My sisters 25yr old daughter passed suddenly 3 yrs ago. She loved sunflowers and daffodils. I have just purchased them and my sister and her remaining daughter, will love doing them. Oh goodie! Please vlog while you’re in the UK!! How exciting for you guys! People don’t realize how hard farming is and how you really can’t be very spontaneous when you want to travel. My grandparents had a 1200 acre farm; raising pigs and various crops (ie, tobacco, watermelons, hay, all the things. They were limited on leaving because someone always had to be there to take care of everything. So, my family was always there to visit them (5 hrs away), so I learned a whole lot about farming. HARD WORK! So, with all that said, YOU GO HAVE SOME FUN ! YOU DESERVE IT!!

Don't feel guilty about going away, 4 yrs ago when this all started my hubby turned 60 and we had plans to go far far away. My aunt tuned 60, I turned 50 and on and on cousin got 2 different cancers we needed to get to gether to rally, now that we can all travel wherever, I told hubs we need to go! Not everyone can travel but that's ok. Yes some of us are doing better than others, we all need to do what we need for ourselves

After watching how hard you all work, I can't imagine feeling sour about watching you enjoy some of the perks resulting from it, too. It's unfortunate, but there *are* some times when some people should be ignored. It's what _they've_ earned.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that runs to the store for coffee and dog food and comes back with 6 bags of groceries 😂😂😂.

Cheers me no end to see Piper scooting around as if she runs the barn herself and then instantly dashing away when a sheep reminds her that she doesn't.

We did empty nest for 10 years. We survived it was hard. After grandchildren it feels not so empty.

When i was working 50 to 60 hours at a full-time job and going to school part time; i would bake 2 of my favorite meals in 9x13 pans, then put in serving sizes in zippered plastic bags and freeze. Each evening i would pull out that night's meal mix of main course and dessert. At work, zap it in the microwave and tasty home-cooked meals at work. Making 2 different meals in large quantities each week allowed me to have my favorite pork with pineapple, meatloaf, breaded chicken with chicken soup baked over it... dinners. I must confess, the semi-thawed dessert was eaten as an appetizer while the main meal was warming. 😂

My daughter and did Factor keto for two weeks, and we were incredibly impressed with the food - restaurant quality! The issues I had were shipping errors. I don't eat beef; can't eat beef - gives me severe stomach issues every single time. I edited my orders to not include beef, saved them, confirmed them, and they still sent beef. I only received three meals for my last order, and was told by the very nice customer service rep that SO many customers only received partial orders. I'm sorry, their food is way too expensive (although delicious) and they have been in business way too long that I just couldn't tolerate the mistakes. I called and canceled and they completely refunded all the money I'd spent in the few weeks I was a member. If it's working out for you with no errors, go for it and enjoy wonderful food!

I love your blogs, I'm kind of new so I'm still watching older ones. I'm hooked. I see the love you put into your sheep, as well the pain. My stepson had cancer, we found out when he was eight, his leg had to be amputated. He went into remission, but it came back with a vengeance, he passed away when he was 14. My son was in the army, he was shot on July 22, the day my son was released from the hospital in Washington DC, was the same morning that Adam died. I was in Washington with my son and Kenny was in GA with his son. I loved Adam like he was mine. And Kenny felt the same way about my son. it was such a hard day.

That can sometimes happen after you loose your hair when you have chemo. At least that’s what happened to my mom after she lost her hair. Her hair came back super curly then to went back to her normal wave.
