It looks like the storm will now most likely hit north of Corpus Christi. If so, we should be in pretty good shape with a lot less rain and wind than previously stated.

Sat, 6/6 …Beryl almost coming into the TX coast. I’m praying the wind will be less. Watching it s movements, and praying for all in its path. If weather channel is right it is to turn and continue toward ETX Monday with 5-8” of rain. The issue with that is it comes in fast and moves out, when we need a good soak. The important thing is for all of you to be safe. Congrats to Jason and Danielle on their marriage in her home in Florida. They seem happy in their place in OK!

You are an inspiration getting on that roof Jared, I fell days ago and fractured my foot again and injury my other knee and I was stuck on the ground and had to have EMS help him up, all while a bully got in my comments saying ugly things to me rebuking me to get up, which was idiotic, if I could have gotten up, I would have, I literally crawled on my injured knee tring to get to the bench and then the anxiety (autism trait) of having everyone watching me, had me nearly overheating, finally my hubby Donny arrived and old the business they needed to get me a cold water, I was taken by EMS back to my car and then hubby Donny took me to the hospital, they did multiple xrays and put a cast on my left foot, days later my right knee is still struggling to carry weight as well, I am back using my mobility scooter to get around outside, using a walker and portable potty inside because I can't put weight on either leg, and pretty much otherwise stuck on the sofa, but you always inspire so I have gotten on my scooter and hubby got me out in Gatlinburg twice over this 4th weekend. The bullies tried to insult me wanting me to quit vlogging calling me too old, ridiculous I know vloggers much older than I am, and as long as you keep going you are still living and enjoying your life to the best of your ability. I take inspiration from the young and old alike, great job Jared, George, Matt and Melanie / hugs and prayers you all have no issues in the storm

Hope the storm misses you guys. My family had just moved away from Brownsville Texas in 1967 shortly before hurricane Beluah hit Texas. I know they had flooding in Brownsville a family friend had his beautiful house totally destroyed in that storm. South Padre Island had damage I think some resort was destroyed, it must've been one of only a few out there back then. My father went to the Border Patrol academy when it was out on Padre Island. I remember Padre Island being mostly shrimp factories, bait shacks and camping spots. We used to go fishing out there a lot. I was a little kid, I loved living in Brownsville snd was not happy when we moved away. You guys be safe.

When we did the shingles on my dads house, we took and extension ladder and extended it and layed it up against the roof and added some plywood in the rungs of the ladder so a hand truck would roll up it.. we tied a rope on the hand truck, put a package of shingle on the ladder and pulled it up onto the roof and it was so much easier than carrying them up a ladder...

If it stays on the track they're predicting, they're saying around Freeport beach, 90 mph, at 7 a.m. Monday. Hunker! 🙏

I was checking if it’s a good idea to put the new shingles on 2 days before the storm it said the shingles won’t be settled in in that short of time . I would not put the shingles on it’s much cheaper to replace tar paper then the whole roof. Just saying. And they are saying a cat 2 because of the slow down right before land. Please stay safe hope you don’t get any damage on yours or mom and dad’s home.

Bro. It only take a couple minutes to cut your own starter strips. As your roofing the whole house. And cheeper. You are right , Brownsville is where it’s heading now intensifying to a cat 3-4 .

What ive just seen is its missing Mexico and heading in to Texas , i seen its coming right to the east of your town so i would cover your windows and take the good stuff out of your carport and put in the house . If it comes that track I think you will be getting some strong winds . Praying it goes a different direction.
