Despite his very short tenure, just like Liz Truss, he will continue to receive the equivalent of his annual ministerial salary, every year, for the remainder of his life. Paid for by the taxpayer. Absolute disgrace. This is a practice that needs to be brought to an end!

Agree with you wholeheartedly. If they leave their position their salary should be stopped, the same as the rest of us. Scotland is on its knees because of the SNP and their weak, greedy leadership. Potholes are now a major factor in accidents, breakdowns and the NHS Scotland is a joke. Let’s hope somebody sensible will be found to take over the running of the country.

Not only egotistical but very narcissistic. He will not now or ever accept that he was not up to the job. He still believes he has done nothing wrong and will not accept he got everything wrong. He will now think it is because of his race, it is nothing of the sort, it is because he is useless, he neglected the day to day job of running our country, the NHS, education etc which are in dire straits for woke policies and dangerous laws. When he was transport minister he was actually caught driving without insurance, says it all really.

I used to work for several local Authorities in Wales, and as a project manager had to do publicity calls with MPs. But these MPs would only turn up if the press were there, otherwise they didnt want to know! Always about THEM! Errrrgghhhh!🙄🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧

Independence is toast for at least 15-20 years (if ever) thanks to the total lack of preparation in the last 17 years. Scotland now has a £ 20 + BILLION budget deficit which has to be funded, no real improvement in both internal and export infrastructures, declining education, health and local services. No coherent 'pathway to Independence' has been articulated to the electorate, only a number of very expensive, high-level, glossy brochures full of word soup and totally lacking credibility - promises of taking 100,000 children out of poverty, FREE bikes and laptops. Many assume Scotland will keep the GBP, but when I've asked the SNP how the currency will transition to a Scottish Pound - NO REPLIES - there is no detail, nor is there for other costly matters such as borders with the RUK, export tariffs, fisheries protection vessels. The list is endless because NOTHING has been done.

Totally agree with you Neil. I am not into politicians getting paid a lot of money to become celebrities because most of them are about as interesting as watching paint dry. Obviously one or two are personalities but most are not. And why do TV companies think the public are going to watch their tacky program in the thousands because they've secure a failed politician for a very large fee? Or is it me?

We have so many divisive characters in British politics, but I’m glad we've got our Royal Family. And, you’re quite right, Neil, who cares about seeing the 'real them'? Fortunately, I don’t watch Strictly or Celebrity anything’s, so I’ll be spared the trauma. I know it's very early days, but I'm hoping you might consider taking a senior, they're so often overlooked and they're house trained. I'm involved with a lot of rescues and it's the seniors who break my heart. I'll shut up now....I've planted the seed, I can't do more and I don't want you avoiding me. Lol. You're possibly like me and not too technically minded and these devices seem to do their own thing, and then all's OK again, but it's frustrating when you want to speak and can't. 😂 Speak to you soon, if I haven't blotted my copy book. xx

My beloved German shepherd x was a three-legged dog that no one wanted and, when I’m in the market for another fur baby, I will be looking at a senior. The problem I have, even though I’m very well now, is how long I’ve got left! 😷 This is the first time I’ve r e a l l y had to think about it seriously. We have some good 'oldies' rescues near here, but a friend recently went down south to rescue his new doggy. So, when (if) I’m in the market I might seriously consider adopting from one of your rescues; we'll see. I’ve just gotten my beloved boy back, and I need to decide if he stays in his tube in the cabinet or gets scattered around his favourite place. Early days yet. Hi Neil I’m so saddened by the event in London yesterday were a fourteen year old lost his life through knife crime it upset me all day,his poor parents,grandparents,RIP to the young lad.

Most politicians are narccists. They want to control everything their way. Aa a result their policies often are damaging, and sometimes takes years to fix what they put in place. We have that problwm here in the States all the time. Its a nightmare, and it doesn't matter what the majority of people want. It only matters what a minority of people want.
