Will This Abandoned 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Parts Car Run In Two Days?
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Today’s episode is a big win for me! Although if you know me at all, you know it took more than two days. Either way, it’s pretty awesome, and I look forward to driving it everywhere some time in the near future…

Impressive work Jamie. Nothing better than bringing a long dead car back to life.
That's the way to do it. Little projects, one at a time, while keeping the car together. We've all seen tons of blown apart projects for sale that started as a running and driving car.
Dude, you're awesome. By the way your style of making these episodes is perfect, cause it's real and it's you. Thank you.

I might be a little late to this party but ... that battery tray and hold-down was just over the top 🏆 ! I'm definitely getting a sammich ready for the next video.
I have some 245 rear gears, all yours! You'll hit 65mph around the same time you get to the destination.

I like your commentary just the way it is. Moves quickly which is nice
That's cool Jamie. Because that's one more Mopar A-body saved from the car crusher, and I wanna thank you for that Sir. And you know I'll be watching.
The cat 🐈 sold me on how great your channel is. Subscribed.
Stellar choice of daily driver, great source of small project videos and endless pictures of you broken down alongside the highway

I have a 68 Notch-Back Barracuda.....I've had it about 9 years now and currently reassembling it. 495HP 318/392 stroker...fresh paint, gear vendors overdrive, Alterkation suspension..... I LOVE my little A-Body!!!!!!

That is definitely a survivor car. Awesome job.💯 I have the 68 barracuda coupe.
I think I love you just a bit more for going on a joy ride with no brakes. OK, I will be ordering some merch to help support the channel.

Way to go dude!! Another victory for Dead Dodge Garage!! Can't wait to see more on the Barracude.
Maniacal laughter. My favorite
I know first hand your situation. I cloned a 68 318 auto cuda into a 383 4sp w/ disc brakes. Even changed the "K" frame. Insane adventure.
Definitely "running whatcha got". Thinking the 2bbl intake will do better than the 1920. Not much elevation change on the Aberdeen to Oly area commute so 2.76's might work with todays higher speeds.
@DeadDodgeGarage

I found a 2 barrel setup where the car came from, but sooooomebody sold it… I think the 2.76s will be a slug out of the hole but do well on the highway. Probably accentuate the awful gear splits in the overdrive though?

Buddy had a Feather Duster- clutch was sketchy, did ok scooting around. Thinking a fresh 64'-69' 273 2bbl w/SP2P, duals, and a AX15 5 speed & bellhousing from a V6 Dak might hit the MPG numbers you want, but scoot better too.
Fantastic job. Steady small improvements keeps things doable. Love the content, keep it coming.
Cool! Im sold! A lot of sound dampning,silent coat. And a casettedeck with the best damn mixtape ever. Mmmmm mixtape
I know I'm late to the party on this one but i love it!! 25MPG, heated seats, quiet exhaust, nice stereo??? I think we're cut from the same cloth. Can't wait to catch up on the rest of the build. PS: I love how to took to heart someone else's recommendations for more likes and subscribers - LOL!

Cant wait to see this one the road!
Funny you mention a B210, had one years ago....with an automatic. Fly down the highway at half the speed of smell, but man did it run nice.
@DeadDodgeGarage
Жыл бұрын
Oh wow. Haha. I actually mention it because my friend had a B210 hatchback. It’s like a fastback, but… more Japanese? Lol. I once sold him a ‘92 Camaro that was great until it would just randomly flood out and die. We were going out of town and we started out in the Camaro, but it almost left us stranded so we didn’t trust it. We got out of the big, comfortable, spacious Camaro and into his tiny B210, in which we were rubbing elbows. Also extremely slow. It was a sweet little car though.
Makes my heart feel good seeing you bring those old mopes back to life. There ain't none here in Florida. You must put a lotta effort into finding them. Good for you. Also good for us.

Weirdly, they kinda just come to me. But I also have enablers in my universe doing the good work of finding cars, sending me links, etc. There seem to be a lot of them left in this area - and usually they aren’t toooo bad.
Hope to buy a 67barracuda ,like when I had one high school!
Absolutely amazing! Great accomplishment!

Looking forward to seeing it as a daily driver.

I have been waiting a long, long time for someone to finally complain about that 🤣 it was designed intentionally to be annoying to people who hate mouth noises. Like my wife… don’t read into that. At this point it’s just a stylistic thing I’ve been doing so long, I don’t think I could ever stop. You wouldn’t know who you’re watching anymore
HA, this one a classic
Ah, the Datsun B210 Honeybee - it had good decals at least. Japan's SuperBee, just with 4 less cylinders and even less comfort. Rusted out within 5 years.

I had this car listed and essentially sold twice. One time the guy was about to send me a deposit, the other time the guy was coming that Friday. Both were obviously quite serious… both then found the car on KZread, and suddenly they weren’t interested anymore. It was the weirdest thing, I just don’t understand why 🤣 in my defense I’ve never dropped another engine on a rad support. It only happened because the camera was rolling. This is the way of the universe
Dammit I love this thing.👍👍👍

I would be interested in learning more about the HEI conversion and how it's wired.
@DeadDodgeGarage
Жыл бұрын
There is a wiring diagram I always find on Google when I need to - but I think the two pickup wires are reversed on the diagram, and that’s why I always get it wrong… I go into the conversion in a bit more detail and show a diagram in my Classic Mopar Ignition Systems video, but I probably should make a video focused on the HEI.

Was this car originally a 318 V-8 car or a 225 slant 6 car?

Originally a 225, three on the tree. Also 318 wasn’t available in ‘67, it would’ve been a 273 - or the optional 383 big block.
