    Great Videos. Just to let you know, I have had a fish tank about 2 years... Redcap Orandas. I want to get into Lake Malawi African Cichlids. Preferably Peacocks. However, I really do not know which ones to get. I feel I should pick ones 6" and under. My only problem is that I only have room for a 75 gal tank. I am not sure which ones to get and how many. Can you suggest which Peacock Cichlids I should get and how many so I can have a colorful tank. Thanks bro!

    A 75 is a great tank size to start with for peacocks. Even though most of them will grow to 6" plus, they do well in a 75 gallon. I had about 30 in my 75 at one time, overstocked yes but with over filtration and frequent maintenance it can be done successfully. Here's a video I did a wild back on some of the species I have, it may be helpful to you - kzread.info/dash/bejne/gaWOl5iDpbTbdbg.html

    Kev & my fellow friends, how are you? I'm gonna ask you is out of subject for this video. I have a 120 g malawi tank, 20 adult fishes in it and I have 2 sun sun 304bs running with one system having mechanical filtration 80 % & 20% with bio and purigen. The other one running with 50% mechanical and 50% bio media. One of my friend suggests to make both the sunsuns as mechanical filters and add a eheim 2217 fully loaded with bio media. This he suggests in a way to have the parallel run after eheim is installed and established and later to convert the sunsun( currently 50 mechanical & 50 bio) to 100 % mechanical filtration. Is this a wise plan? Or 3 filters will be too much for a 120 or what will be the right way ahead? Thanks for your valuable suggestions. Love from India❤.

    What do you do while quarantine with nitrites, ammonia? I guess if you test water do water change? How much ? So, also if a angelfish fish has significant frayed fins should I treat with either of these meds or something else ? I love this video and I realized that I've made mistakes with my quarantine tank. Great video ❤

  • @KaveManAquatics

    @KaveManAquatics

    Dosing Seachem prime daily will detoxify any and all ammonia, nitrite, and any possible nitrate. If your fish has frayed fins or any other physical damage I would also dose Seachem StressGuard in addition to the others. StressGuard is great for healing and slime coat production. I water change my Quarantine tank every 2-3 days since it isnt cycled. if it was cycled i would water change it weekly. Hope that helps 😊

    yea it would be, But this an educational channel. I've always shown people that a UV on a freshwater tank is unnecessary. You'll see how crystal this tank will be without ever needing one 😊

    @@KaveManAquatics yes but not everybody is ready to wach a cloudy tank for 1 month . Everybody wants a quick and easy fix . After the tank is clear u could remove the uv sterilizer if you desire with no problem .
