First of all, the benefits that you bring to the hobby with your videos is great for all hobbyists. Secondly, even in an 8ft tank I still wouldn’t recommend more than one Arrowana. I know more than one could live in there, but more than one full grown arrow really might deserve something close to a pond. But who knows?! Lastly, this definitely makes me want a stingray. Multiple types of underwater creatures is always fun to watch…fish, turtles, stingray, blue lobster (crayfish), etc. Looking forward to your next update!

I was looking at getting one of these for my 100g, but I ended up going for a pair of half banded eels instead. They work much better for my set up, but they're absolutely fantastic. I'd love to get a ray eventually when I have the right tank

I once ordered 2 red Pacu through the mail. They came from Puerto Rico, to me in Philadelphia, and they did a phenomenal packing job. Heat packs in the box and all. In fact if they hadn't done the heat packs to I may have lost them cause my mailman had put the package into my apartment complexes lockbox. Which isn't good cause sometimes you must wait for the community key. So I had to drive around to post office and told them and they had the actual mailman return and bring them to my door. It said " live fish"on the box! He felt bad and it was an honest mistake. and they turned out great!

I was still a beginner then and thought getting 2 pace was a good idea.... 1 Pacu I wouldn't recommend to even somebody with an aquarium any less than 300 gallons. I did the proper thing and adopted them out to somebody who could do right hy them! Pacu, need at least 500 gallons or a pond setting!

What size of African cichlids is best to add to a new tank as far as hardiness but also to ensure that the new fish are all civil with eachother. They will all be added at the sane time (6 of them). Choices ar 1to 2 inch 2 to 3 inch 3 to 4 inch or 4+ inches. They will all be male peacocks/haps

,can't wait to see the tank upgrade have you not thought of creating a separate fish room build one .

@@KaveManAquatics He we'll hold the start giving him shrimp with a clamp close to the bottom, then start rising it till you get to the point that he we'll eat the food at the top against yr glass and yr hand, it's very cool to do this. 😀😉😉

I'm doing weekly water changes for the ray just to keep it clean as the ammonia builds up.

Hey Kaveman I've been watching you for a minute n I'd just like to say thank you for your fluval filter vidz helped alot. I've got a stingray too her names marina (after the chicken from the 70's show STINGRAY and like you it was an opportunity that I couldn't pass she's a motoro stingray and she's pretty hardy she went str8 in to my tank after n hour I'm not sure how old she is but she's young and she looves live food (worms) and the occasional beefheart (if the discus ain't got it 1st) she'll grow to about 3ft diameter she's a brown with tan circles. If your a fish hobbyist then freshwater stingrays are ammmazing to watch and care for if cared for right. BIG SHOUT OUT TO KAVEMAN.

Hey bro that's amazing Marina she comes to glass n says hi all the time but she's in a tall rank so it's kinda hard to interact with her n she's real shy when changing the water. I've also got a pair of rope fish too there awesome to watch and in my other tanks I gotta betta his names Oscar n I got a ghost knife his names toothless hes with a plec in my other tank. Yo kev I am kids confused on how to quarantine my feeder fish which I wanna feed it to my arowana community tank but my question is can I use the QC combination to treat my new feeder fish in the quarantine tank or do u have other medications to recommend to make the feeder fish safe to feed my fish hope u and my question cuz I am in a emergency

Is paraguard good for cloudy eye? I use melafix for that. It will seemingly kill my fish sometimes if they’re not doing well and I quarantine them for something that I haven’t identified. What seachem product would handle cloudy eye?

Paraguard can help with cloudy eye but if you don’t see improvement in the first few days upgrade to kanaplex.

Your source water may have high levels of dissolved solids feeding a mini-bacterial bloom. With time as your tank matures your good bacteria will reduce/prevent this from happening. I see the how carefully your sting ray was packaged. I just received my all male Mbuna all 10 were in one bag. There was no heat pack. They were shipped overnight so is this a normal thing? They came from Florida and to me in Texas. Any thoughts?

I'm guessing u ordered from imperial tropicals (maybe not) but no heat pack is fine IF their water was still warmish and there was lots of insulation.

@@KaveManAquatics yea all 10 are around 4inch males all in one bag with some pretty funky water with lots of poo. Three guys sank strait to the bottom and stayed there for a bit. I gave them some stress guard and feed them couple hrs later and they are good now and very active but just hate how they got to me .

I know he does. I always auto medicate with mild meds to prevent an extended quarantine time if something does pop up later on. Just my preference.

Yep they get huge I was told 30 inch deep because i considered getting one for my 24 in 210 gal and was told it’s not enough tank
