@@juanmacias5922 still, music is such a miniscule part of your relationship - either way, most people like more than one genre, so just because you like one doesn't mean you'll always be playing it. politics, on the other hand, is understandable, since it is tied to the way you *think* and even the activities you partake in on a daily basis (e.g. going to protests, sharing political posts, discussing political topics with your partner). i don't know though, since i'm the type of person who plays anything that sounds good lol

I think because Country Music is heavily consumed by typically right wing and conservative individuals, there's an innate bias to connect someone liking country music with that or being a bigot. And when you have people like Morgan Wallen or Zach Bryan who are some of most beloved country artists right now for example and they've partaken in politically and racially problematic behaviour, it's hard to not lump country music lovers are non-progressive people since that's typically the demographic that both consumes and partakes in it, thinks like. So weirdly enough, it can bleed into politics.

This type of dating is actually really sad. I ended up marrying a guy who was so far from my type in every single way that it's insane. He doesn't look like the type of guys I used to date, he doesn't think like them, talk like them, nothing like the people I would genuinely go for. And that's exactly what made him so special, unique, fun. I took a chance, gambled on something different and it turned out to be the best choice of my life.
