To me they seem easy going in general, not only regarding other's sexual preferences. I actually believe everybody has kinks, just like everybody has "weird" food combinations that only they like. But one has to be comfortable and confident enough to actually live out, share and talk about their very specific sexual behaviours. Those are the "kinky people". To my point, when you're comfortable in your own shoes, you don't feel the need to judge others.

Yes, they might factor in _how_ you engage with kinks but certainly aren't the underlying reason for it. There are kinky folks without trauma or mental health struggles. Crazy, i know, but they do exist xD Though you can make a connection between kinks and neurodivergencies as you often find sensory avoiding (e.g. in kinks; sensory Deprivation) or sensory seeking (e.g Egding) behavior there :)

Again, there are plenty of other downright questionable kinks. Again, trauma, mental illness or both.

not kink shaming, but public play is something that i personally cant condone. in my profession, i've heard too many stories from people who stumbled upon people doing that, both as children and adults, and it often resulted in trauma for them. a big part of it is because they did not consent, so it felt violating. a lot of them have also said that because it's usually a "quick glance, immediately leave" situatuon, they didnt exactly see a lot of what was going on, so they worry about whether it was consensual or not. then that comes with guilt. i know risk is a big part of it, but i really wish people would think about the psychological consequences the kink has on non-consenting people.
