Thought I'd share this with you JB - a root memmory. My dad also called, "JB" had one of his back-hoes digging at a tuff root system. It finally gave way. It was a sassafras Albindum root. When was exposed it smelled of candy & root beer Heaven. Bet no such sensory joys for you. Another day on the job.....

I laughed about the unmapped, graded dirt roads in the mountains. I am 1000 miles north on a property in the same range of mountains. We too have to walk down to an easily identifiable spot to direct people to our cabin.

Take it easy on the Appalachian mountains. I live in WV. Our whole state is mountains. They are beautiful and I love them. You do great work so keep it up. Bless you for helping the lady out!!
and NOBODY is on the hood of the truck FEARING for their life! (love the way you get to the "ROOT" of the problem 😉)
I used to have 2 huskies and 99% of the time they didn’t bite or get aggressive but if you pet one of them in the wrong mood or when they had food they can get really aggressive. I’d always tell people no to petting just to be safe unless I was holding one of them. One time I caught the mailman sticking his fingers inside our fence petting the dog and I had to turn around my truck and ask him to stop. Better to be safe than sorry and be on the wrong end of a lawsuit 🤷🏻♂️

That's exactly how 1 of my septic techs got a broke leg. By sitting with legs down in front of slab lid held up by pry bar. The bar gave way due to soft wet dirt allowing the lid to fall on him. He was by his self while the other tech was running the truck 300 ft away. Not a good day. We all like to have fun and do things that make the day better but all it takes is 1 mishap and fun turns to shit.
I know it’s hard and dirty work but I wanna work for this guy. Stand up company, guaranteed work, and probably several times a week you get to be someone’s hero. I worked for a moving company. It always made my day when I showed up and the customer was stressed outta there mind and by the end they were smiling and laughing. Best part of it
Looks like they need a new spot picked for their new tank. Pump, and fill with growing soil. It already seems to be a Really good growing spot.
At least you found the root of the customer's problem 😁
When he mentioned a saw I thought they were going to use a chainsaw like they were Texas Chainsaw Massacre. They should cut all the trees that are near the house. Not only for septic tank but a bad storm can destroy those nearby trees and fall into the house destroying it.
I knew where you were from the moment you spoke.. Beautiful mountains.
Having fun at work. Priceless
More videos like this please. I enjoy seeing the process
90% of time I can pet any dog but the other day I went to a house I’d never been to after dark and this blue heeler was a good boy and didn’t like me there none after dark. It was all good he didn’t bite but he wasn’t happy…

Love seeing a boss out enjoying the work with his employees. Violating OSHA or not your making a wonderful work environment. Good on ya man, keep it up and you'll be rich in many ways.
In Aussie vernacular, "that tank is rooted, mate".
At 3:00 ... Chris don't want Nuthin to do with Roots.
It just always gets me when people let trees and bushes grow in these places. Some jagoff decided to grow a bunch of rose of charon around my sister's house, the roots were all into the foundation
more of these longer format videos please!
It's nice to see a company not pushing for the option that would make them more money.
Holy shit the quality of your camera looks insane. Good job man.
My husband is like you. Even the meanist dog will turn friendly whe he is near. He radiates calm to animals and they flock to him. You are someone who i would work well with on a team. The way you act with your coworkers. True leadership is someone who is willing to do the work and get dirty when the job and coworers need it
You know you're doing something right when your competition nopes out of a job and gives you a recommendation lol
The boss laughing it up with employees while on the job?! Ain't gonna lie I haven't seen that in years
This just goes to show, you better really weigh your options when you wanna live off the beaten path, the views may be great but there are other aspects than just what James here is bringing to light, definitely shows me some different things I need to look at while looking to buy a home and I’m glad that he can point this stuff out and all he does, no idea if James is actually gonna see this comment realistically and that’s perfectly fine, but I’d love for him to know he changed the way I am looking at houses and land that I wanna buy and I now ask for even more info on these houses before I’ll even consider them especially when out in the country side
Too be honest some of your funnest times are slightly violating codes. But that's what makes your employees want to be with your company. You make work fun. Keep up the amazing content and super work!!
Love these work vids, dont get me wrong the streams and the stories are amazing also.
Animals in general like me also. The barn store had an African grey parrot as a store owners pet. They have a sign saying I bite. Every time I went in there I played with it. The clerks in the store said no he will bite you, to which I said watch. They said only the owner and me could handle that bird he hated everyone lol. That's just how it is sometimes, some people just know how to handle pets and others are afraid. The animals know who is who. I think my daughter has some of that also. Pets just understand some people.

for places out in the middle of nowhere, when you are on google maps, you can tap the screen to place a pin, if you scroll down, you'll see coordinates in parenthesis.....then you can have the guy that is trying to find the place, just put that in the search bar, and it'll drop a pin on the exact location......super helpful :)

As someone that cuts out roots all the time for footing holes you guys need an 18 inch prune Sawzall blade. Don't have to reach nearly as far. I just buy the cheap ones for 3 bucks a dozen at a time.
Could have done like back in the old days when the out house pit needed to be emptied, Dynamite stick and run like hell! HAHAHAHAHA
A real honest deal to help family.
What about felling the trees in the area around the tank and keeping the whole area clear of trees in the future? Shade is nice but a working septic tank would be even nicer.
I've been trying to work out how to get through the roots above my electrical junction box .. why I didn't think of a sawzall previously I don't know. Thanks for the tip guys!
