Will the wrecker steer and drive out today?

Long days at the shop, but we push to get the wrecker back together. Will the PSC hydro assist steering work? Will we be able to drive the wrecker out of the shop?

Trick for when removing hoods, deck lids or doors: drill a 1/8" hole through the hinge bracket and whatever it is attached to. When you reinstall, insert a drill bit through the hole to line up everything the way it was when you took it apart. Question: can you modify the steering arm axle bracket? Thanks for explaining about the 'compressor'. :)

When the bearing gets dry I just drill a tiny hole in the bearing housing for lubrication. Little silicone seals the hole till it's time for another drop of oil. And Bob's yer Uncle yer back in business! Take care Dan

You can always cut the mount back off the axle find some thick metal to raise it back up then weld it back down .I had to rewatch I just ordered my psc ram 1 7/8 /8 inch stroke don't have hydro boost I'm just going to cut the cap off a different power steering pump and get a longer straight radiator hose hose clamp that to my factory pump then drop the other cap end in the end of hose hose clamp that in place for additional fluid .I'll have to show you on face once it's all done if your interested

At 4:40! Like my chief engineer said: we dont need that. If it fails we read the instructionbook😉😉😁😁. Hats of for mss Seatcover. The way you 2 support each other👍👍👍. The one you explained was clear! But do the most have welded difs? Because i see a lot on the hook with all 4 wheels turning, while 2 wheels are in the air.

I want to suggest that you keep an eye on the oil temperature of the steering system. While there you have more mechanical advantage now, it can generate a good amount of heat, and having hydro-boost works the oil some too. I don't know if you have a cooler on it now, you may want to add one, or possibly go to a bigger one. I have a transmission cooler for the steering system on my K5 with hydraulic assist. It seems to work decently. I haven't cooked the oil playing in Moab.

about time ha ha But you need to weld the ram to tie rod mount in place ! underload it will slide on the tie rod plus get some hydraulic hose sleeve to cover the hose to save from having a cut hose

That magnet mounted Snap On light is wonderful yet STUPID. A single magnet per clamp half? The clamp is a waste. Most shit on modern vehicle is no magnetic so a $250 paperweight usually. Then the color adjustment? WHY and it always happens at the most inconvenient moment. I bought the blue point version first which is double stupid because it doesn't flip around the way the Snap On one does and can hardly point light where it's needed and mostly shines in your eyes when you don't want it to. I'm gonna swap them all for the magnet arm mount M fuel I think.
