That neighbourhood is unstable and volatile with a powerful satellite state because of the suez canal, not the other way around. Its all by design not an accident.

1. You don’t realise that suez is not a bottle neck. It’s perspective. Prior to the canal being built it was a dead end. 2. You have not spoken about bank effect. Correction of course is it the cause it I the bank effect. 3. Ship’s running aground I a weekly matter in the canal. 4. Haven’t you heard of floating cranes? To get closer to the ship without affecting stability? Poorly researched video on the Suez Canal part.
