As always, great video! Super informative. You'll enjoy making new parts even more now. It looks like a decent machine to get started. I've seen you already thought about the gas coverage on the second clip. That's definitely very important and probably takes a bit of practice getting used to with that type of machine. It's a good practice to no only keep the weld covered for a few seconds but also the tungsten electrodes and the filler rod. How are you sharpening your tungsten electrodes by the way? Did you 3D print that part? Enjoy your new welder and don't get discouraged by the initial practice it takes. It's well worth learning TIG for building the raddest savage :D

Thank you very much! So much to keep track of at the same time, but I try to remember the gas coverage. I think it's even harder to remember with this setup since I have to "flick off" the arc, there's no button to kill it. I'm still sharpening on my bench grinder. I have ordered small grinding wheels for my Dremel and I'm planing on printing some kind of contraption for it. But the bench grinder works surprisingly well actually. Even though I'm still terrible at it I already feel what an asset this will be. I already have a list of things I would like to make! 🔥

@@HeavyMetalParkingSpot nice, I'm looking forward to all the parts you're gonna build with it. When using the bench grinder to sharpen the tungsten electrodes I find it very handy to use a cordless drill on the lowest setting to rotate them (you might already do that).

Well I'm sure you will be playing for a while .. new toy and all that lol . I'm sure it will be a great addition to the fabricating tooling in the shed and you will certainly improve on the gasless welds previously used . Once you master the basics on the tig your going to be able to do some nice neat welds . Enjoy playing Brother

None taken! They did! I feel like I see many smaller channels reviewing stuff from Vevor (bigger as well of course), it might be part of their marketing strategy. I think it’s really cool, even though they are not a high-end brand, most of their stuff is good enough for us hobbyists. And getting that stuff in the hands of smaller creators I think enables them to make things they otherwise couldn’t. Sorry for the long reply and the Vevor chill, I’m not THAT passionated about that company. 😅

I just got my VEVOR MIG250 and it looks nothing like this one in the review video. I don't see mine on any KZread reviews. My MIG250 has SMAW (stick), Lift arc TIG, and MIG or FCAW. It came supplied only for MIG, no stinger or torch. Price naked like that was $204 shipped and taxed. It has one knob and two displays for current and wire speed. I have not figured out the wire speed (SAE or Metric) so there's that experiment yet to do.

Only buy from this "company" something that you can easily throw away afterwards. Because they refuse to tell me where to return the defective product after 2 weeks. Send me a video of the error - I sent it. To this again and again - Send me a video of the error, I reply that I sent it - and so I cannot return the defective machine. Never again anything from Vevor!
