Will The Stock Subaru Forester Keep Up With The Nissan Patrol?! | 4x4 Australia | Off-Road
Today we set off to put the Subaru Forester to the test! Come along as we follow the Nissan Patrol on a 4x4 track trough the Australian bush in my stock Forester and hopefully get to the Yellow Rock look out just outside of Broke NSW. Sit back and enjoy the scenic and rouged off-road track as I try to keep up with the Patrol and not break my Foz! It's going to be an Adventure!

I would love to test my 2023 Outback on this type of track. If i wasn't scared that i would break something.

Give it a go! Just start easy and work up your confidence and ability. You’ll probably have x-mode in a 2023 and it will make things a lot easier.
The older Subaru's are okay off road, but the current model Forester with X-mode is amazing for what it is. As you can see in the 18:00 mark here X-mode would have made that happen.

Hopefully one day I can afford a current model haha how does X-mode affect the off road ability?

@@Coast2CountryAdventures because in situations were you have no traction these old cars will just let the wheel with no traction spin. X-mode will brake the spinning wheel and redistribute torque to the wheels with traction to help you move forward.

Yes yes this is why Subaru makes the traditional 4wds not happy. People laugh at me when I tried to bring my new stock Outback to the Bribie Island. When I drove past a dozen of bogged tanks I was wondering why😂

@@Coast2CountryAdventures xmode just makes the power transfer a bit more aggressive which makes tricky sections a little easier. Tires are gonna make a much bigger difference since xmode is just software.
