The nice thing about Jaghatai is if GW makes special primaris White Scars range like the blood angels, and Space wolves had, they would sell so fast and long term keep selling. Especially since I'm pretty sure I remember reading in path of heaven Jaghatai has a dragon helm. Like Quin Xa had. Now that would make for SUCH a cool model!

The Khan was the unknown element to the other primarchs. Maybe he'd be the same with Eldrad. The Aeldari would look upon him as a Monkeigh, but maybe the Warhawk is just playing the Aeldari instead. Who knows with Jagatai? Not even his brothers.

Jaghatai is a cool Primarch BC he admits to himself that he doesn't know either. That's why he didn't help Russ w/ the Alpha Legion until he went to Prospero to confirm everything himself. Self-awareness is a rarity in the 40k universe. He also laughed it off when Malcador revealed Vulcan was alive, or that they didn't need to know the Emperor's plan. As Primarch egos go, pretty positive examples. (admittedly he's not perfect, kicking out Saul Niborran for voicing dissent, but again, this is 40k)

Vashdor v khan in webway as gateway to 11th ed
I think it's really important that the primarchs we see in 40k are fundamentally different from those in 30k. Not just because it helps to restore a bit of that veil of unreliability in the narrative but also because should change over 10,000 years, ESPECIALLY if they've been involved with Warp shenanigans. With that in mind, I think it would be pretty cool if Jaghatai Khan has been "corrupted" by the Eldar in some way. Maybe it's just that he uses Eldar kit or maybe he's begun to change physically, but I think that poses a really interesting dynamic to the Imperium. Like, this is a loyalist primarch with chapters of space marines ready to follow him, but he's also "gone native" and fights for those who are ostensibly the Imperium's enemies. But on the other hand the Eldar are a Xenos race that the Imperium works with (unofficially of course) when they need to. It also acts as an interesting foil to Guilliman's own relationship with the Eldar, with it still very much being Imperium First, having a different primarch with the relationship flipped could lead to interesting conflict within the otherwise overly perfect Guilliman. And just from a gameplay perspective it could be interesting to have a primarch who can be taken both by the Imperium and by a Xenos faction.
If Jaghatai is in the webway the Harlequins would know where, but they could simply not tell Eldrad. They are loyal Cegorach and their own system, not any craftworld, and it would be very typical of them to wait until the best moment to reveal what they know
Eldrad could know where Khan is, but he didn't want to give Imperium another primarch that will easily turn on him later. He might know where he is, but did not want to pay the price to aiding him. Either the sacrificing lives of the Eldars or giving Imperium the access to the webway.
They open some bent around Webway tunnel and on the other side is a Primarch scaled cottage with an orchard and a chicken farm, Jaghatai trimming rose bushes around the porch.
@wolflordrho I know its speculation, but I would love to know your sources when you do these lore deep dives, which books to read more about; War Within the webway, the Khans disappearance etc.. I really appreciate these videos but sometimes its hard to know from where these theories spawn and which primary sources to read more about them ourselves.
That would be absolutely amazing
Father Matheu while possesed by the emperor to Guilliman, "its been a long plan to bring you back", who knows could the emperor have been in contact with eldrad and the eldar?
Hmmmmm, freeing Jagahtai Khan? It is an intriguing possibility, and Jagahtai does bring some unique talents. With the threats facing the 41st Millenium, lightening warfare would be helpful. Don't know how it would affect the current narrative, but would shake it up. Whether Eldrad would even consider such a risk is a matter of some debate. Stirring up the Dark Eldar would be a minus on that front.
I like your idea for this. It makes sense from Eldrad's perspective. I would like Cegorach to somehow have some sort of part in this like it was the laughing god who trapped Jaghati but the manipulation would make sense
I don't see him the type to WAIT. He's hunting something in there.
Something I think would be cool is if jahgatai mastered the webway after spending so much time there, no bale able to just enter it and leave it anytime and anywhere he wants like its the speed force or something. 😄
I can see Fabius Bile helping unintentionally by activating ancient webway portals.
i think it would be amazing if he returned and spoke about running into ra indimeon in the webway and jaghatai has the demon sword ra was trying to get as far from the imperium as possible, like he is able to be uncorrupted by its influence
Imagine Khan found the Black Library and just began reading. During the thousands of years of just chilling in the the library he changes and just chills tf out and enters Bhuddist state, becoming a Ghandi-type.
Don’t forget that Captain Alessio Cortez of the Crimson Fists is in the webway as well. I am really hoping that when the Khan comes back the Crimson Fist’s Master of the Charge is by his side.
I would argue that this day and age is the only one in which it is safe for the Khan to come back. It is strongly implied that the Khan quietly resented the emperor for essentially upstaging his own conquests, and even that the Khan briefly tried to gather evidence before deciding whether to support the imperium or Horus. He’s a man who loves war, and who wants to establish an empire for himself, but he could never do so in the emperor’s galaxy. But now, that galaxy has been split in half. The Khan can have his opportunity to lead his men to war and build an empire out of the ruins of the imperium nihilis. And the best part is that the self-sufficiency that his white scars learned in the early days of the crusade, make his legion the perfect one to do it. At the same time, he wouldn’t actively be going against imperial interests. The imperial doesn’t have the resources to protect the nihilis anyway, and they are far better served by having him in charge of a region of it then by having anybody else. I guess I’m saying that in a galaxy with a weakened imperium and a lot of dangerously unstable territory, there is finally room in the galaxy for the Khan’s ambitions without clashing with the imperium’s own stability.
Commaragh is said com-a-ra by the way. Huge fan of your content
Aun’shi is also in web way (commorragh) I know this will never happen but imagine if they made a book where aun’shi and the khan meet and become bros and together escaped commorragh
Very unlikely..... But I hope we see Jaghatai and Konrad Curze return to the 40k setting 🤞
Considering that we have a primarch for both major fronts in the Imperium, guilliman in sanctus and the lion in nihilism, having a primarch working in the web way isn't a bad idea. I mean technically corax is still loyally hunting down traitors in the warp, focusing on lorgar quite heavily. I mean corax isnt "returned" but we at least we know where he is and what hes doing
I think jhagatai makes a lot of sense. I don’t remember the book but him and the lion were name dropped in one of the dawn of fire series before the lion was actually back. Something about a rumor of him riding above cadia.
The Eldar don’t know where Jaghatai is. In the book “The Last Hunt” the 4th company do some time travelling and end up being able to go looking for Jaghatai in the webway. When the khan asks the Eldar if she can sense Jaghatai in the webway she says she doesn’t know but to find out they have to go in.
*Wolf Totem blasting in the distance*
White Scars are my personal favorite Space Marines. Would love to see The Khan, Lion, and Guilliman start to restore the imperium to greatness!!! I would assume The Khan is hunting something dangerous in the Webway. Kor'sarro needs some backup!!!
Cegorah would know where the Khan is in the Webway. I bet he is keeping him as a surprise against Slaneesh.
I get an image (no matter how unlikely) of The Khan on the front lines withing the Webway, in an uneasy allience with the Aeldari, wearing Primarch scale wraithbone armour and weapons...to me the Aeldari armour and sword styling kinda fit The Khan's own aesthetic
The kahn is the bigest unknown, so i think it would be something totaly different then what we could think how he would return.
How to get me to buy an army , bring me the Khan!!
Damn 1 minute. I’ve never been this early. Let’s go!
I think he's gonna show up at the web way portal on Terra with the whole of the Drukhari armies snapping at his butt.
I love the White Scars as they are just pure badass !
He’s probably just trying to find his way into black library to restore magnus
It's as you put if it help the Aeldari they will help. They may try to trick/test Jaghatai to see if he will not turn against them just because they are Xenos, as he is quite wild.
I want to see the orks challenge the khan to a race
How many years are we talking? For more release
Could the return of the loyalist primarchs be the doing of the emperor himself. As the emperor grows in power in the warp he will need his greatest generals to lead and maintain the imperium as he takes out the choas gods

Vecht knows where the Khan is. Ultran knows Vecht knows. With how things are in the web way and Kammorach, Vecht would be eager to make a deal with the farseer, but as no fool, would not at all be inclined to bargain lightly, and very likely will not follow the letter of the deal and instead scheming to undo Ulthran's scheme in the end. All the while the aeldari are locked in mortal combat with the great enemy. That's my head cannon anyway.
It would impact the war against chaos more than sacrificing Khan as distraction, if Aeldari could actually get to use White Scars+other imperial forces lead by Khan in a specific battle in exchange for guiding every survivor back to home after the battle. It doesn't take a farseer to see that Guilliman would be willing to commit decent forces for helping his brother to return. Or just tell Guilliman who's leading large amount of troops that they have seen Khan fighting forces of Chaos in a webway. (That they manipulated.) And if he would come with troops he had with him they would still have time to save him.
While I’m totally expecting Russ back next I honestly think that the Khan makes way more sense. I know it’s unlikely but I want that Khan v Fulgrim battle dang it!
What I would like to see is Clonegrim somehow be involved in JKs escape. I think it would be cool if at first JK and Clonegrim have to duel the fight sparks Demon Fylgrim to return to real space l. Clonegrim and JK team up to fight the demon primarch and clonegrim sacrifices himself to push JK into real space as the webway closes and he escapes DP Fulgrim and the Drukhari as a whole
All sounds too cool for GW to do
If the Khan was in the dark city he would for sure be in the "care" of the haemonculi.
Honestly, I feel Russ would be more likely to listen to a knife-ear than Jaghatai, considering his history with the Eldar.
I wonder if he will gain any new abilities from being in there so long
I could see it as part of an agreement with vect to get the khan out of Com. Because he has been causing them issues
I would love the return of Khan. He would take the fight straight to the enemy and take names.
Imagine the Eldar giving the Khan a custom eldar speede4 bike
What about Vect? He would have a say on anything that big happening in the web way.
Well... Another option is that Jaghatai is dead. That being said, let's assume for a moment that he is alive - why would Eldrad actually help? He's taking the very long view, he might see that the future with Jaghatai might be a boost on the short term - it may be actually a detriment long term.
Forget it, the mon-keig stays in the arena.
Wonder if slanesh wanted jaghatai as he is bound to kill him and nothing would bring slanesh more pleasure than corrupting the one destined to kill him. It was only during the scouring that fulgrim got switched wonder if slanesh knows about the swapping or still assumes that fulgrim is the one he believes was the one to kill slanesh?
That would be something The khan and some of his sons charging out a webway pirtal into a battlefield Imagine if guiliman and lion was there and eldrad was jus like "Hey bobby G watch this *opens portal*"
My idea is that the Khan has become an avatar/champion of the laughing god in the webway (I know his name idk how to spell it). I feel the view of "escape the webway" is incorrect. I don't think the Khan is trapped, I think the Eldari have explained to him the value of the black library, and if he works with them they will grant him access. Khan has often shown a need to know the truth, and BL gives him access to knowledge BigE wouldn't tell him or may not have known. So I think he works with them, in exchange for more access, maybe even he has the knowledge he needs, and sees that, that is the most strategically important place for him to be. I think there is a good chance Vashtorr will attack the BL, because it contains, or the location of, the Key. The story of Vashtorr's attack will bring the Khan into the current setting. The key will give him a way to break Terra's webway gate, which he will access via his tunneller. On Terra is the weapon, the Golden Throne, which when fully functional ascends you to godhood.
What if he's turned to chaos whilst in the Web way?
I think that Jhagatai is within the Black Library itself. If anything I think that it was Cegorach that found him and brought him there. If he does, then Mortarion will be wanting another rematch. I agree. I view the binds between Guilliman and Evraine or whatever her name is could be the beginning. As well as the Primarch in the warp on a quest to find the “ Tree of Life ( Aisha ) in the warp ( Nurgle’s Garden ) the Eldari are actually there fighting to free Aisha if they can what if they ran into him and his boys? Imagine that. They save Aisha together, in return Aisha agrees to revive the Emperor of Mankind as that is what he sought her ought for, Imagine how strong Humanity’s forces would be with the Emperor returned to us?! Many would feel endeared to Aisha and it’s not like we or the Emperor can kill her cause she’s a literal goddess of life and would just heal. I see many ways for peace. I actually see from how the Tyranids threat is rising, that all factions will soon need to unite as one to fight them from lore I heard in videos on KZread. Apparently Hive Fleet Leviathan has been discovered to be a mere scout fleet and larger hive fleets have begun appearing all a crossed the galaxy and even the warp. The warp fleet is scariest because they are immune to psychic and demonic powers making them perfect demon hunters. I dunno about chaos, but Eldar, Necrons, Tau, Orks, and Imperium may need to form a temporary alliance in order to stop them. Sounds as if the Necrons already recognized the threat of the Tyranids as they are frantically reviving tomb worlds to bolster the chances of the survival of the galaxy as they need life to sustain themselves and it the tyranids kill them all they die too. Orks are already fighting them too. There were these two a human commissar and thus Ork that fought each other for fun and sport cause they respect each other as “ Good enemies “ and the human was decimated by the Tyranids invading a planet they were fighting on and the Ork swore vengeance on the Tyranids for robbing him of his ideal enemy and began a large war against them himself. Tau always want to ally with everyone so you know they need no convincing. Eldari are divided, but given they have allied with us before they most certainly will again. There’s even a super sister blessed by the Emporer himself as “ His chosen Sword in the Darkness “ she contains the souls of her entire chapter within her bolstering her own powers and abilities as well. That happened because slanesh tried to devour them all at once and in a final act of defiance they somehow willed it and it was so. She beat slanesh back and the Imperium believed her to be a “ Corrupted “ sister and chased her out. The inquisition actually hunts for her. But she still endeavors to fight for humanity regardless and the will of Emperor. To which she heard his voice once while she prayed to him for strength and guidance his booming voice that felt like sandpaper blaring all their souls said “ Do you truly wish to serve me? And she answered back yes! I live to serve you and humanity to which it said “ Then you shall be my blade in the darkness. “ and from that day her sword burns bright with holy fires of the emporer’s blessing and her armor glows with holy light of his protection. She also entered the warp to escape the inquisition and attempt to form alliances with the Eldari for mankind. She has been away from the imperium for so long she didn’t know Guilliman or Lion both returned. She got an audience with Evraine whom told her she herself revived Guilliman to which she was glad and grateful. She told her of her task from the Emporer himself “ to prepare the imperium for a coming darkness and asked her if she would ally herself with humanity again when we need them to which she said “ I will be there when the time comes “ Those all tell me they’re setting up a final stand of an alliance of multiple factions against the Tyranids
Trade 1 primarch for assistance ? The khan would need forces, on his own he's of relatively minor impact
Wait, if Jaghatai has been in the Dark City in the arenas...does this mean he might end up with some sympathy for Angron? I doubt Angron will ever get redemption but he might get the true death he longed for.
Honestly I wouldn't be shocked if Vect already knew and has been doing much the same for all this time. It could be revealed that the Webway has been popping leaks everywhere and Vect has just been funnelling them towards the Khan for thousands of years, making him stronger and angrier.
Jaghathai will come back to his Ordu as he allways has been. On his own accord and on his own time. For the Khagan! And the Emperor!
But sending him back would aid the Aeldari, right? I mean... 2 out of 3 retunred primarchs then have a good connection to the Aeldari. Out there he is way more useful.
Well Khan doesn't really shake the cage that much so why not? The only issue is to make bikes great again on the tabletop.

Khan is one of 3 primarchs to beat a demon primarch 1-1
I think he will be drawn into the wars with the nids in the west
One does not simply walkinto the webway and sets loose the Khan...
He’s not stuck in there with them. They’re stuck in there with him.
Ah Just what we Need Another big Eldar event being obscured by an MCU Hero coming back in the universe
Unless the laughing god is the Kahn of Kahns
I'm not sure that the Gladiatoral pits could hold the Great Khan. Not exactly an easy primarch to reason with, one of the best (or worst, depending on which end of the sharp side you're on) Combatants on the galaxy.
The Khan returning would be sick AFFFFFFFF He's one of the most underrated primarchs, especially regarding combat ability. Only 3 primarch's have defeated a demon primarch.. Sanguinius, Lion, and Khan. The Khan coming back would be a huge shift in the war. I would love to see him body big snake Fairygrim.

It is said somewhere in the lore that the Lion and Jaghatai had a friendship, or at least a cordial brotherly relationship and mutual respect. I would love to see an actual scene with them. They would probably go for a hunt.
Dude it's eldars, they aren't allowed to do anything, especially something as important as saving a primarch and GW are not gonna let one of their golden children be humiliated by the mere notion that he needs saving by filthy Xenos. GW is probably gonna twist it so that its The Khan that saves the Eldar from something, but just to remind the Eldar players how little their faction means they'll have the Khan kill 3 Avatars of Khaine, a couple Solitaires and a Wraithlord
Does it always HAVE to be Eldrad all the time…?
Don't know how many people have said this BUT...Xenos Primarch. Drucharii captured Jagatai and Homonculus Covens tortured him until they broke him and turned into a superslave/thrall. Make the other primarchs want to save/end him from his suffering!!!
Commorragh rhymes with Gomorrah as in Sodom and Gomorrah from the bible. Which is deliberate as the biblical city was the inspiration for Commorragh.
