True story. I was a flight attendant for a major carrier in the 90's and had the couple with their young kids. They were sitting in First Class to L.A. As a crew member we were trained to protect the privacy of celebrities during the flight. But Fresh Price was so popular then--so, after the flight we, the crew of 10, asked Will for a group picture after the flight. He was so gracious and happy go lucky he said of course. As we were getting to our place for the picture. We hear Jada screaming from the jet bridge with the then 2 young kids and clearly annoyed and said, " Hurry the hell up and some other curse words!" We were stunned! We weren't expecting it from Jada, such a petite and pretty woman. Will was so embarrassed. He had to hurry up and follow his annoyed wife. He couldn't be more apologetic. We treated them so nice. I'm not surprised by her behavior not one bit. This man has some serious years of trauma that he needs to heal from---hopefully without the antagonist. I hope this doesn't lead to suicidal thoughts.

This is what happens when a weak man lets his wife run his life. If Will had any self respect, he would have put her in her place years ago and gotten rid of her. It’s the only sort of language someone like Jada understands.

Every sign of abuse is there, Will is so bar beaten down he probably feels lost and hopeless. Once an abuser wears you down to that level you forget you are worth anything or how to function or be valuable without the abuser. It's rough stuff and I hope he can pull himself together enough to divorce her ass with a prenup and get some therapy and a better supportive environment.

Regardless of gender, marrying the wrong person is horrible. Some people are just awful and they can’t be changed. A spouse is supposed to build you up and give you a safe place to be heard, cherished, and protected. Being with someone who gives you none of that but instead ridicules you in public and humiliates you is so horrible for your personal well being. From what I’ve seen from the Smith family, I get the feeling that Will wanted this image of this tight knit, perfect family. He tried so hard to carve Jada and the kids into being what he wanted. Jaden wanted to be emancipated because of it and Willow shaved her head at the peak of her childhood fame to escape her father’s control over her life. In Jada’s mind, she’s likely trying to punish Will for having such a stranglehold on her image for so long. And he’s staying with her to subconsciously punish himself for being so controlling for so long. The most egregious part of this story is that Jada and Will took in August frequently when he was a minor as he had a turbulent home life. August suffers from trauma. Jada used August’s trauma and trust in her as a mother figure to sleep with him. She basically waited until he was legal to get with him. If Will did that to one of Willow’s friends, there would be rightful outrage.

I don't think he's a cuck, not at all. I personally believe he's a victim of domestic abuse. DA comes in different forms, it's not just about physical violence, there is also (in a way often much worse) emotional and psychological abuse. I've been there, so I have a lot of sympathy for him. Most people can't imagine what the manipulation, belittling, psychological terror etc., does to you. You lose yourself and leaving is not easy, often almost impossible, because the emotional abuse made you dependent on your abuser. My abusive ex threatened my life and I still came back. If it was the other way round, if some woman was treated by her husband the way Jada treats Will... I think we, as society, would react differently. Haven't we really learned anything from Johnny Depp?

Even in interviews where they are together there is some kind of bad vibe that i can't explain but i immediately pick it up because i myslef was abused. I feel so bad for Will.

I don’t feel bad for him, he’s a bully, please look up the interview with Paul Rodriguez about his behavior toward him, and I don’t think that a man who has been abused is going to go around abusing and physically assaulting other people, lets NOT compare him to Johnny Depp who has not laid a finger on anyone and is known, by people who have nothing to lose from saying anything, as a good kind person.

This is controversial to say, but sometimes I wonder if the slap happened not in defense of Jada, but out of frustration with her and their situation and taking it out on the person that opened themselves up to the outlet (unwillingly). I don't think he's taking this submissive role because he wants to, there might be dirt on him or there's another complication we are not aware of at all that's keeping this thing from ending. I don't think everything is as it seems also worth mentioning, the thought that a soul mate is only romantic or that its only reserved for one person is not 100% correct, if anyone has seen firefly lane, those two friends were without a doubt soulmates, and there's nothing romantic about it. I don't think Jada's comment on this is as controversial, she just means she had a very deep connection with this person , she even says there wasn't chemistry, so not romantic

Is staying with this person going to build kind, happy, sane and well-rounded people or not? Does your spouse respect your God-given rights and does his God-given duties? Do you? What does God says about people acting the way he does?

What's really sad about this whole situation, is she's not the only woman out there like that at all. And I can honestly say he's not the only man out there in the same situation. She reminds me of my ex-wife in so many ways that I can't even describe them all. And unfortunately I can sympathize with Will Smith, as I let my ex take my manhood just as he did with jada. My ex cheated on me at least three times that I know of but I think there are other men that I don't need to know about at this point. We've been divorced for 16 years, and thankfully in that divorce she didn't even fight for custody and I raised my four kids myself. And I completely understand where Will's at, I love somebody so much that I was willing to degrade myself so badly . Today I look back and I can't even imagine doing something like that. And even my youngest daughter who was only 13 when we got divorced, doesn't understand it because as she would say you're not that kind of guy dad why? And thankfully my kids love and respect me now, and they suffered just as much from her narcissism as I did sadly enough. I think the real lesson here is when somebody reveals themselves to be a narcissist or whatever, believe them believe what you're seeing and don't think that they're going to change😢
