If anyone would like to see Justyna's other live performance and listen to her sing live (her voice scale is 4 octaves), I recommend this one: Justyna Steczkowska - Sanktuarium - XV (live - klub Stodoła - 25.05.2012) -------- Justyna is 52 years old and has given birth to 3 children. She is in brilliant physical shape and looks super for her age. Ah, those genes !!!! She has always been so lean and shapely. She has never looked any different. Her sisters look so good too.

I fell in love with this song when I first heard it on a KZread ad and I immediately went to Spotify to add it to my list of favorite songs

Stage was in Zakopane. Due to certain changes in the leadership in Polish National TV broadcaster, some technicians were working and were added last minute. It was NY's Eve in the mountain city of Zakopane. Justyna Steczkowska is known for many folk/experimental music and her 4 octave scale. She's on the Polish music scene for 25+ years and has done many interesting projects in the past decade. The best idea of what she's capable on live scene is to see her Alkimja performances at the 4 Cultures Dialogue Festival which also became her album as well, where she sang songs inspired by Jewish culture extremely present in Poland prior to WWII. She performs live almost every time making alterations to songs to ensure people know she's singing live. She comes from a musically educated family - her sister is also known in the country. I highly recommend checkign her repertoire.

Only problem is nobody knows what will be..... however we have fingers crossed for Justyna......

I still can't believe that this is the same woman of the 1995 Polish entry Sama.

I absolutely love Justyna's song this year and the best part is this mix of something new with similarities to her ESC 1995 entry (one of the best songs of eurovision imo) with that flute parts and folk references

It was already announced that she was, I also literally just got an ad from her channel saying she would see us there

Right now Poland has weird political situation, so we may not participate at all. But sending Justyna is very easy solution, because they don't have to make pre-selection and save money. She really wants to represent Poland again and TVP likes her. Last year Blanka was on TVP's New Year's Eve party with Solo, so maybe they will do the same thing this year. And her name is pronouced more like Yustyna.

@@4ren64 yeah, even with TVP restructure, participating is really easy and relatively inexpensive television for how much viewership they get. i think they can pull it together, especially if Justyna represents as I think she's got enough experience to work with a smaller / less seasoned delegation

He goes on tour or will prepare for his tour at the time the (possible) preselections will take place and I dont think his main focus now is Eurovision. Its more likely that he will try 2025, after his touring and other stuff. But we never know.

Justyna represented Poland in 1995, but she also won the OGAE Video Contest in 2010.

Just regarding the name of the national selection, it literally means 'Here beat's the Heart of Europe' and is pronounced 'Tu bee-yeah sertseh eh-oo-ro-pyh'

She comes from a whole musical family, and she's the most popular of all of them - there's vocalists, violinists, music directors, composers, sax players etc. and she herself does way more than just sing. She taps into the "witchy" vibes at times, and her debut album had a single "Dziewczyna Szamana" meaning "the Shaman's girlfriend", so there ;) She's currently one of the few most renowned polish vocalists alongside Edyta Górniak and there's a lot of memes about the two and their "rivalry" ;)

Of course she can do that shes one of best Polish singers succesfuly in business since 90s, shes 51

Hello Noosh, could you please react to the MGP 2024 songs?

She's stable and she's our whistle polish Ariana but this chorography need to change! 😂 She will be tired.

It was just a New Year's Eve show on public TV, which is now undergoing huge changes after the democratic opposition won the elections - people there are being fired from their jobs and others hired (the predecessors additionally made huge financial debts of TVP). The camera work was terrible too as you can see. The dancers and choreography Justyna got from TVP - it is certainly not her idea for this song, but the idea of Agustyn Egurrola, who works on all such events organised by TVP. By the way, I hope he gets fired from TVP too. Whether the Eurovision qualifiers will take place in Poland we are yet to find out. Justyna has announced that she will compete with this song. Whether she will represent Poland we don't know. @@aiko_and_jann_defender It could be before (both Daria and Blanka/Bianka? performed at tvp's NYE and later were their faves, with the same song even), not now. Steczkowska is TVP's affiliated artist, she worked(-s?) at Polish/TVP's "The Voice" (and at least one older show I've never watched but laughed at - it was about ice-skating celebrities) so it makes sense that she's invited ($$$) for their events. Almost each broadcaster has its stars, a thus reasons to promote them. I don't necessarily hold it against her (I don't know enough about her to form an opinion).

Steczkowska always had class - especially out of all previous Polish Eurovision entries, she is probably one of the few artists who for decades kept highest level of musical artistry, personality, but full on technical skills. Like, if we sent her - she would probably be the best singer on that stage. But I do not think that the song defends itself. It's shallow, especially for what type of music she has. They really needed to work on those lyrics tbh. I would ever dare to say - it just needed to be all chants and no English word in it.
