The way his nose bends up a little bit when he tries to eat off the counter 😂
Piper was probably like: finally he's bringing in the good stuff
That hornworm looks to be a blue hornworm aka a tobacco hornworm because they like to eat tobacco leaves. Its species was the inspiration for the caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland. It didn’t know what was coming 😔 RIP Absolem lol

So basically when you’re having an insect problem at your home, just hire a raccoon to fix it 😂
The excitement they exhibit when they eat the hissers, it is the same excitement my Jewled Lacerta expresses every time I feed them. Especially roaches. It's adorable!
First I roll it, scratch it, smash it then crunch it. Smush some on the counter for human and me! What a rollercoaster of feelings. Those horn worms... Ahh I thought those green ropes were things for the worms to crawl on, nope those are the worms.
7:02 SHE CAUGHT THAT?!?!
This video is fascinating, well documented stuff it’s cool seeing them interacting more like they would naturally
Interesting that a domesticated raccoon maintains their natural instinct for certain foods. Mine preferred mealy worms over the assortment of human palatable foods. Dry kibble was mine's very last choice on each and every plate.
You should also feel good knowing your home is free of bugs..Cheeto and Piper are the Orkin of Pets.
Who else couldn't stop hysterically laughing at the raccoon f'ing up the cockroaches as they was trying to run away? lol This is screwed up fun.

I have to say, after watching I've learnt to respect those roaches' shells. In the past I'd never thought about how well they'd actually do, but this video makes it possible to really see and hear the claws scratching off the armour. I can imagine how it'd protect them long enough to survive an attack if they were in an environment with more places to run away to.
Piper made one heck of a nice catch on that roach as it headed for the edge of the counter. This was very interesting.
Protein packed, all natural treats! Very good!
Piper is genuinely the most adorable creature I have ever seen.
Not those big ass monster worms! 😭🤢😫

@Mina Katzu Even if the raccoon is a bit fat, the thing is she's not OBESE. Some people don't feed their raccoons the right diet or take them to get exercise which leads to them getting overweight. The raccoon in this video looks around the average size, if not then a bit bigger, which shows that her owners make sure she's not only getting her exercise, but has a pretty healthy diet as well.

The Life and Times of a raccoon, that was definitely a WOW, I've never seen a raccoon participate in this type of function, it's enlightening to say the least, it is the struggle for an animal in the wild meaning is this a staple food that a raccoon wood eat in the wild.

I'm a little disturbed that the bugs were still alive when Piper ate them, although I guess that is the way she'd do it in the wild. Thanks for the informative video! It's interesting to see a pet raccoon getting in touch with its natural roots, even if it can be a little gross at times.

@@chonkeyrex7688 Many bugs have pain receptors and are quite intelligent, there’s a type of caterpillar that will disguise itself as a Queen ant then once it’s let into the hive it eats all the ant larvae and taking over. We shouldn’t assume they don’t feel pain or lack intelligence just because they aren’t cute and fluffy like a commonly loved animal (dog, cat, rabbit, etc)

Great posts! Clearly you have become a expert with raccoons. I could see you becoming a veterinarian or working in department of natural resources or possibly a local zoo.
Haha what a massacre 😂 Tito have no pity! Tito is hungry
I think it’s enjoying more eating the roach or insect than any other thing they have given him like chips or human food it’s really savoring that insect. Raccoon looks happy energetic and excited
The way it played with the horn worms
They’re trash pandas, so.. 🤷♀️ Coons are the best. They’re like a tiny human demon with fur 😍 Omg the roach soup in the end.. 🤮 Omg how he keeps rolling them around 🤣😂 Note to self: don’t kiss raccoons on the mouth again…

Pretty amazing to see his survival instincts. He wanted to neutralise the roaches before he ate them. This is a theory on why cats play with their food too, to avoid facial bites.
Piper: Thanks for insect day, but I'd rather eat my nanners and marshmallows.
My god the catch! Ninja reflexes

When your mate stops hissing....run for your life.
Its kind of funny how he kept going back to the bowl when the hissing cockroaches came out. I felt almost like he was thinking "Is there something else in here?"
At least you won't ever need to pay an exterminator to get the bugs out. 😂🤣

Thanks for another cool video, maybe you could have a taste test on what bugs and worms my pet raccoon prefers lol..😄
This is the best video I have ever seen on this channel. Piper loves to devour all the insects.
OMG I'm not sure this should actually be funny but I found myself LAUGHING with him playing catch and release with the hissing roaches just as cats do also... Very amusing to watch and it is in their nature to eat insects so I do not see anything wrong with giving them their natural nutrition that they would find in the wild.
I miss Cheeto
Raccoons r too friggin cute!
Piper says, " Excellent food. Please give me more every day."
Poor horned worms lmaoo

Eat bugs? Ground yourself, people. There is a reason why they are referred to as "Trash Pandas"
I hope you and the gang are doing well! My racoon had triplets and I bought them a little swimming pool. I don't know where I got that idea!?!😂🏖😎
Only time I ever felt bad for a roach lol

tell me why i felt bad for the roaches........
You should offer the raccoon a bug or a pizza and see which one he chooses
I feed a mother and babies at night in my yard. they get peanuts and dry dog food and sometimes hot dogs. they will eat a sandwich out of my hand. they are certainly cute animals.

2:50 blue raspberry jumbo gummy worms 😋
❤ Really interesting how they were making shure the hising abomination has no stinger 😂 I guess better safe than sorry given that hornets exists!
He really has to push his mouth down to scrunch his nose cuz it gets in the way of his food☺️😂
Raccoons sensory nerves in their paws activate with moisture. Like to see how raccoon acts during the taste test knowing there is a drop of water on the counter they can drag what they are eating to get it wet. Seemed like the raccoon was using the bugs gut moisture to further sense?
Second second so cute
So glad my lizard just eats them in one go
He is clearly not that into hornworms. Maybe they have cyanide like millipedes
5:41 if u dare me them madagascar*

It looks to me that your raccoon partners are attempting to wash the bugs off,,,Im Curious to how they would eat the bugs,,along with a little water in their dish.just a little bit.
