@@J11R6B97 It's a double-meaning. "Gone for good" typically means somebody or something has left forever. However, "good" also means something positive. So, the lyric can have a double-meaning. In this instance, "gone for good" means something positive AND somebody has left forever - or, at least, he's trying to figure out if her leaving him is for the positive. So, "are you gone for bad, or are you gone for good?" is him trying to figure out if this is a bad thing or a good thing, but with the double-meaning, it adds much more depth.

"Are you gone for bad... or are you gone for good?" Love the double entrende, that's clever song-writing. It's a fairly straight-forward melody, the weight of the song found in the lyrics. I like his whole demeanor. He doesn't need his ego or insecurity petted, he already knows what he wants, what he's capable of, he's just looking for the right road to get there. Wish his journey well.
