Thanks Anju for the informative video. I have been in the UK for over a year and a half and I still remember watching your videos from India to understand the life in UK. From the little experience I have here, I completely agree with your thoughts. A few more to add on - 1. Reduced day time coupled with the winter really pushes you into hibernation mode. There is every likelihood of getting low vitamin d levels and lack of energy & interest in literally anything! It is best to take advantage of all the Christmas markets and light switch on events to keep yourself happy even if it is biting cold! 2. Services being very costly and time taking - be in house helps, child minders, electrician/plumber etc it takes time. One can never expect to ring someone and they be available in half an hour. Everything is based on appointment and if you have missed the a lot, you need to start the cycle again! Hardest for me is returning online delivery. Some are free but never doorstep collection ( I am so spoilt!) 3. Food & cinema - any celebration or any time-out means either go for movies or check a new restaurant. Here that isn’t the case, people enjoy quite experiences like hiking, cycling etc so maybe something to be prepared for. 4. Pickup drop for kids - if it was just the school I would’ve been happy but with the number of clubs and extra we sign them up for, it is indeed a time consuming activity to drop them off at their clubs. Especially when they are for just half an hour, you can’t even come back and do anything useful! 5. Working shifts - we are lucky to be in jobs that are flexible and can work from home. But I see lot of people who work shifts in nhs or outside and they struggle to maintain their lives. When one parent returns from shift, they handover the kids and the other goes to night shift. And then they return from night shift, the other leaves while having to get the kids ready to school etc. It becomes a routine but a really hard one. 6. Kids connection to India. - I agree they are connected to their family through calls and frequent visits but I also feel there is a lack of real Indian connection. I might have despised studying Indian history when in school but I understand what India is all about but my daughter, don’t think she really understands the difference between Independence Day and Republic Day. But as Anju said we do try to incorporate as much possible celebrations of Indian festivals❤ Thanks if you have read this so far! I do have a YT channel where I somewhat rarely to say the least share my UK life ❤ thanks Anju for the video again!

Loved both the dresses on you. It’s nice to see how you’ll communicate and interact with each other, which is so missing in many households today. Allow children to be playful with you, you’ll miss the noise and their sound of laughter one day. Santosh is intelligent and smart. Anju you are awesome too in many ways than you know. Your son may not be expressive but he has a big heart. Kushi is a cheerful, smart young lady. Milo is loving and loveable. My best always. (India/UAE)

Shops dont close at 6pm all over UK so might be local to your area! Big Grocery stores in towns in Essex stay mostly open till 10pm weekdays and some are even 24/7 whilst shopping centres are open everyday till 9pm! Several areas in London also are open extended hours. We always go shopping after work and never had any issues to be honest.

Both the dresses were pretty. Frankly even I haven’t had good experience with NHS so I agree with your friends too. I am so happy that you pick such relevant topics to discuss in your videos. Much love to you and your family.

Family bonding is the best value parents can inculcate in their kids. Enjoy the ruckus they create, they will soon go to university and then hv lives of their own. Khushi mimicking Milo was hilarious. Milo wants the centrestage between you both. Good you are making Chungsi contribute in housekeeping ...👍 for his own future betterment. It is a pity that you and family support Modi . You see how divided he has made India's society on communal lines and you still support him? I like many things about your family, but if you have right wing attitudes, what kind of humanitarian values do you have? You yourself being an immigrant in a foreign country, how would you feel if you are considered as an enemy by the natives? Or is it like you support modi in India, but when you are out of India, be whatever convenient to you.. I don't think you will answer to this comment considering this is a negative comment, but definitely expect a response. Also I don't think you have much connection with people outside of your religion, that might also be a reason you cannot see the bigger picture..

It's not modi who has divided india on communal lines, it's the people, who put their religion before the country. Modi is the best leader that india has had for a very long time.

Do u know the highest free ration is given to the peacefuls. 33% free houses r given by the BJP govt to the peacefuls. They r also provided loans for higher studies abroad. The quota is increased. Haj quota has also been increased. Labourers who go to work in gulf countries did not get any help from govt before if they died or fell sick and could not work. Most of these people are peacefuls. Govt has made some kind of fund to help such families. In which world are u living? Do u think anybody in the indi alliance or rahul gandhi is capable of becoming the PM? China n Pakistan will join together n attack india. Pappu will give away arunachal to China and kashmir to Pakistan. Do u think they care about our country? Sonia gandhi is having 2.5 billion dollars in Swiss account. Where did it come from? Look at the way they were trying to loot national herald property worth 8400 cr. Sonia and rahul r on bail. Don't u know how many scans were there during UPA. I can go on and on. Modi is doing everything for our country. He is a yogi not a bhogi. That is what the RSS teaches u " COUNTRY FIRST" BHARATMATA FIRST".
