Then why the fuck are you here...it's literally in the title, yet, here you are. You're kinda..."special", ain't ya?
I literally said “Are you freaking kidding me!” but I didn’t use “freaking” when she fired up. Massively overgrown sitting for over two decades and fires up like she was parked last night. I love diesels.

Good job on that day cab buried under the Amazon jungle. I recall driving by Gillespie's in the late 50s through the 70's .. all early era trucks back then .. a time capsule of memories. Start that piston-popper in the weeds next time. Keep 'em coming!
Looked like those handlebars on the big cutter was a bit to short and awkward. And that gear lever should be placed higher so you don’t have to bend over so many times. Looked uncomfortable
@SpawnofChaos

Was thinking the same thing about the gear shift lever. My grandparents owned a 90s-model DR brush cutter; the gear selector is right there on the main panel between the handlebars, and the bars are pretty high up. Theirs even has a lockable differential 😁

I got a bad back there’s no way it would be able to handle that shift up and down like that

So happy this channel is back up and running!! Really hope it's getting u a profit, to pay ur cameraman and still get some doll hairs in the bank so it keeps going for years to come
Looks like a 6v92T Silver Series(didn’t see any green), this General should be 1981-newer. It’s definitely wounded, but impressive that it lit right up.
Those generals had a cable operated clutch so the cable was probably seized. Surprising how easy those Detroits start after sitting so long.

That was awesome. Can't believe it fired up like that. Sounds cool. Love watching your video's. Keep up the great job 👍

This one, all the pain was getting to where you could get to it.👍
I don't own a diesel and Probably never will but I'm always super impressed on how these old diesels fire up and a gasoline engine would never start up if it sat just as long
@frankportigiano1910

@George Jones how about one left in the weeds like that Truck. In my experience gas goes bad, carbs don't like to sit and gas engines poston rings freeze to walls. Seems like these diesel engines come back to life so much easier
Man! Y’all really put some effort into getting these things to start! Really appreciate it
Your channel deserves much more attention! Keep it up brother 💪
I like these will it start videos. My favorite was when you got those old locomotive switch engines to fire up. I have two old Buicks I play with, and I ask "Will it start?" every time I turn the key! So far they always do. And yes, I do have a "Will It Start" key chain. It just seems appropriate.
Great video Bruce , I was totally blown away when it fired right up , love the will it start videos, keep them going
wow bruce thats a runner of a truck ive never seen anything start like that , after 25 years great will it start video
It’s those Detroit’s. You should pick that one up and restore it, it’s a neat old truck amigo
I cant believe it just started right up. Amazing the difference between gas and diesels.
@jamesreed1027

and that's why he only does diesel start ups just need compression and ether any retard can start it as you can see lol
Great video, Bruce! You make that look easy. I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing!!
Amazing fast start, those jump packs do a pretty good job.
I really like that mower you have it just cuts right through
Cameraman is getting better every vid, still needs a lot of work but getting there! Good job buddy
Proof the old detroits never die
That’s amazing how the ones you think are gonna be hard and just fire right up
Doing a great job Bruce hope the kids wife and family are doing well !!😎👍🏻🇺🇸🦅
I am impressed how durable the Diesel engines are, after setting all those years? maybe the oil content in the fuel.
I thought it was going to turn into a will it stop video.😂
Excellent video as always Bruce, I'm here for it.
So great that brief conversation with the elder gent.... just real people. And the old truck started !!! cool
Now... that is a decent engine to start up after sitting idle for 25 years. Solidly built to last.
Love Detroits, from the 2 strokes, to the 60 Series 470/500 that was in my Freightshaker.
That truck deserves a thorough restoration.
You the man Bruce, keep it up
I get so hyped seeing Bruce post a will it start video
A real screaming jimmy !!! Love it would be a cool restore project not many gmc generals or Chevy bisons left in this world
Another great video Bruce! appreciate the hard work you put in! keep it up
It was worth the effort if you ask me. To see an engine sitting under tons of brush and weeds be able to start like that is a testament to how engines were built back in the day by actual human hands!

He would probably get more subscribers if there wasn't so much editing being done. Viewers want to see the whole thing from the moment he opened the hood. Like i have seen many vids and 90% of the trucks either had rotten cables seized starters fuel fungus or clogged air breathers. I don't believe that truck started with less then 5 revaluations after sitting 25 + years and we will never actually know because of the editing.
@HyperActive7

@@lawrenceflynn8245 Doesn't matter anyway, not watching him anymore because I don't agree with scammers and the fact he could have sold off every single thing he scrapped and when he decided to scrap Blue Collar, which I watched him pull out of a field, completely rebuild and use to turn around and trash scrap it for money was enough for me. I don't believe in what Bruce is doing now is right because he's looking like one of the scammers himself and I don't believe in that shit especially when I thought he had put all that shit behind him.
Bruce appreciate the videos buddy your good getting these old trucks running again thanks for sharing Bruce 👍
Bruce , you should get a piece of aluminum and weld a handle on it , start taking the intake off before starting these old Detroits just in case they decide to run away. At least then, you could shove that aluminum over the intake and starve it for air ! They're cool to see shoot to the moon but boy that could turn into a "will it stop" video real fast ! Air shut off plate and fire extinguisher. Oh , get that old Ford back in business for the will it starts , that thing is pretty cool !

That's true what you've written but I've heard a few times if using the emergency stop or putting something over the inlet to stop it the blower has to be resealed as the pressure affects the seals .
@dansmith73
Жыл бұрын
@@andrewking4885 I haven't heard that . I experienced a runaway CAT one time and we got a piece of wood shoved over the turbo inlet and got it shut down, not so sure with a Detroit but id rather do seals than dodge wrist pins and create a boat anchor!

U, are 1 lucky dude 😎 how U get these trucks started... This is a lot of fun 😊. Thanks 👍🙏👍
Amazing! Good old Detroit! starts better than a new one.
As you started uncovering it I could tell it was a general and then when you pulled those vines back and I saw the General logo on the side of the hood I got excited. That’s what my Goliath is is a GMC General
Good old Detroit's they may be heavy not make that much power for how much they way be fuel efficient or quiet as some other diesels but they where built to last and be rebuilt.
Good one Bruce. Love those old generals. 👍👍👍
It only needs a maximum cleaning and it is ready to roll! 💪The work paid off guys.
You sure keep it interesting on here you always into something I love to watch your program be safe and love to see more take care and God bless
Hey bruce, thanks for the awesome content as always! Need to modify or lose the Swisher as it's too hard on your back and remind me of a mower that I use with handles too low and are not adjustable and working on that bent over it's definitely not good for you and will surely make you hurt after a while! That was an amazing surprise very fast start up but then again it's a Detroit 2-stroke! ✌️🇺🇸

I'm born an raised in FL too, southwest fl an I know how's Bruce is feeling being in that brush makes it ten times more humid lol. I got itchy just watching it lol i've been in his shoes before, everytime you move some weeds the bugs jump off an the mosquitos are all over that brush, so everytime you move something they swarm you. lol on a good note I was shocked it started that easy. That ole girl wants to run again.
They”Will it Start” are my favorite videos. Actually what got me watching your videos
Detroit bro, they always start. nice work that was the most buried one ive ever seen
and i like the ones with old train locomotives as well

Hi from uk Bruce👋👍 it probably took longer to get to this old girl but pleased she fired mate👌 that second squeel probs water pump shot I think after you snipped belts I think engine was still sweet tho 👍 thanks for your time and be safe see you soon👍👋
Fico espantado com funcionamento desses motores após tantos anos parado .....vídeo top 🇧🇷✌️

I can not believe how you are able to start so many so fast pretty cool 😁
I was waiting for it to run away amazing the rack wasn’t stuck if that thing has been sitting 20-25 years
Great job Bruce! Always like your videos they are always spot on.
Thanks foe for the awesome video! I didn't expect it to start up at all
Another awesome great start video can't believe it fired up after sitting there for so many years 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
I wonder hoe much better it would run with fresh fuel and filters. Liquid Wrench on the clutch components might have brought it around from all the corrosion from sitting.
Awesome Bruce the truck was buried in the bushes unbelievable it fired up after all the years of sitting
That thing looks possessed!😆👍👍
For some of these clearance jobs you might like to invest in a battery operated hand sized garden chain saw. Cut that crap in no time 🇦🇺
Great video Bruce another great will it start video.
Good afternoon Bruce, just nice to hear them going. Steve from N.B Canada
Always enjoy your will it start videos. Hopefully you will show the Dodge in a will ot start video. Thank you for sharing these videos. Look forward to your next will it start.
That motor sounds better than my 2022 kenworth t680
Why does this channel not have a million subscribers already, you should blow up and have massive money to work on more stuff, absolutely love you work, love from India
That toyota corolla in the jungle back there will definitely start and run another 200,000 miles
& finding & reviving those old iron pieces of art is a lost art in itself & u beign a part of it , is as well 2,, & bless u 4 all the work that u doo 2 abel 2 share it!!
You are getting TOO good at this !!! great video
I love the sound of a Detroit Diesel in the morning.
i'am live here in the phillipines and i always watchin your upleades video and i amaze of some trucks cars ,bulldozer ,payloader that watch that kawasaki loader that you fix to start it and that international truck that you fix and restored it...nice content ..and i learn a lot of some of your video...keep safe and god bless..some pilipino says in our language..mabuhay...po..
Good job using post hole diggers. For bush removal. You learn something new everyday
I live in NEW ZEALAND and truely love all the videos thanks !
After seeing it in all those weeds I never would’ve thought it would have cranked so easy
Nice to have you back.
I can't believe that it started right up like that. Is it any possibility that it's for sale. That's a GMC General and that would be a good project truck.

Ikr i own one my self actually it's a 1977 gmc general with the cummins 350 that im slowly restoring its been quite the restoration
Great video looks like you was unrapping a Christmas present When you was pulling the brush off the truck
Just seeing the engine was built in an era where things were made to last you can figure that it is going to run for sure !!
great vid Bruce, them Detroits would start under water🤣.. l like the fact you jumped straight in and never give a thought of what if it runs away or can l shut it down, doesn't get any more really..👍
W💥Wzerz! When that truck kicked up first try, I called out to my Giddy Aunt!
Haha I actually dig these vids and that they start so easy being they been sitting 20+ years
Was still good seeing you uncover it can't stop a old Detroit =)
That was unbelevable. Started so easy after 25 years in a bush. They shuld have had this video to promote sales when they were new😄 quality engines!
You need a Milwaukee m18 weed eater and hedge trimmer to bake brush clearing easier, the blower would also help cool you off and clear off trailers
Great video. Keep up the good work
There is a reason the Jimmy's were popular. If they are in decent shape the start just like that 😄
More work taking the brush off. Love the videos guys!!
Another awesome will it start video
Those big trees are amazing!!!
The best yet brother. Keep it going.
You are truly dedicated to your channel. Whatever happened to the DeLorean project you started before the forced hiatus?
Another good video! It’s always hard for me to see people park trucks like that and not use them again.
I have alot of miles on a 6v92 detroit..I used to haul milk to creameries with a 6800 gallon tanker. That was in the late 70s. Made it haul and you had to get it wound up pretty good to get max power.
14:17 answer my memory is like my money I like that🤣
Man! That thing started RIGHT NOW!
This one with all the weeds on it needs to be on a will it start shirt maybe put the Detroit Diesel logo on it as well.
i thought this was a gardening channel for a minute lol great video.
Old Betsy started up 💨💨💨💯
