Just thought I would stop and brag on Bruce for a minute for something he did for my buddy Michael. Bruce selflessly took his tellahandler over to his house after the storms and helped pick Michaels collapsed garage off of my buddy’s vehicles and boats and pulling truck… thank your Bruce for being a genuine human being even without promoting your good doing to the rest of the world i and many ppl like me appreciate you!

This is how I started EMD, Cummins Detroit ,cat . Operators would run out of fuel . So I rigged up 12 v and 24 v electric fuel pumps would break into fuel line n charge up transfer pump . Start in 10 mins or less . Operators were pissed at having to go back to work . This worked just great

I don't care how old these old school trucks are or how much they are wrecked or how dead they are, once you jump them, they still look and sound better than any newer truck they have on the road today. Nice truck, btw.

Man, I gotta say when that Cummins finally roared to life, I swear that was the best roar of a diesel engine iv ever heard. I love seeing old workhorses from back in the day come back to life. Holy crap man bring a flippen battery with you so you don’t have to run back and forth to that gah dang jump box I’m gettin pissed for you can’t focus on the motor because you have to go running back to the dam box because it times out lol I get so pumped watching this 😅

Love these will it start type videos. Just something about them.

PT pumps that have sat for a while, lost prime, or are new/empty of fuel need to have the inlet gear pump primed to suck fuel from the tank. A good squirt of lube into the pump inlet will do just that. This one would require removing the filter from the housing to spray directly into the gear pump inlet. Once that's done, it doesn't take long for it to self prime and fire. Priming the pump like you did works great and will stay running if the gear pump isnt dry.

These "will it start" videos got me thinking, why there is so much abandoned trucks in Florida 🤔? In here Finland allmost all old trucks are scrapped after those days at work are over.

Most likely its an 1985 because many ole' school trucker would put "Class Of " on the hoods of trucks with the year the truck was made....on the hood it said Class Of 85

@@masterbates7016 He has his experience in Diesel engines. We all know how gas gums up everything and the longer it sat= the less likely it would start without flushing fuel system, most likely replacing injectors and fuel pump replacement. In other words it’s just not worth the time.
