Definitely a keeper
Definitely you should junk it and seeing what a nice guy I am I will pick it up and haul it away for you for free.😁
You are definitely bringing back memories of my middle 20s to early 30s. Bought a 1971 Olds Cutlass S for $500 that was a Michigan car also. Fought the rust battle because they salt the roads up North. Mine was faded white with black interior, bench seat, but otherwise good condition running wise. I sure learned to work on vehicles, and drum brakes at all 4 corners. Drove around with it primer gray and white for couple years, changed to the Olds wheels you have here within a month and new tires to get some traction. He never broke down on me and left me stranded. Sure started my tool collection days to keep tinkering with everything. Memories for sure, have fun guys restoring him.
First car I ever owned.
The Derek comment and the Michigan rust issues reminds me of one of vice grip garage pickups a couple of years ago a Iowa truck but as much rust as this truck had you would about swear it came from Michigan the medium lime green 72 Ford f250 sport custom pkg truck one of my favorite trucks by the way i love bumpside Ford trucks!!
Great video
My uncle had one th÷ same color with slot mags. This is a bucket list car for me.
Nice looking ride another classic saved.
Cool video and car brotha!
I used to have a grand rapids 87 Buick Regal Factory V8 Sport Coupe Oldsmobile roller cam 307 v8 straight pipe and glass pack and a 45 tailpipe coming out under the middle of the passenger side door, was originally a burgundy car and got smacked in the front end of the entire car and blasted satin flat black otherwise known as hot rod black... Anyway it had a very decent burgundy non limited 60/40 cloth bench seat interior all of the trim was in good shape and the only cracks in the dash bezel surround was right above the speedometer cluster had the factory Delco am fm stereo no clock, seek or cassette tape player... It was a 136k miles car had new exhaust, radiator and transmission and brakes that being said the front fenders were rusted at the back the doors were rusted out of the bottom, and the quarter panels and trunk floor was pretty much shot, and the front dr side floor pan or most of it was probably the only decentish floor pan in the car i had the original gm keys, owners manual and the window sticker paper and the sound system for the 87 year Delco offerings, and the left side rear frame rail was holey and I ended up getting rid of the car but honestly if someone takes the time to repair it with everything it had they would have something i don't know if id say it was worth repairing everything but even in 2011 most cars don't have that much paperwork to the car the front fenders was the factory but junk fenders but the nose was a 85 nose and a junkyard 87 limited edition grille the nose or header panel was a copperish brown and i think that is why they blasted the whole car satin flat black....
Give us an update when you can, cool project
