This vid needs more lubie dooby. I hit anything I work on a day before and then again when removing bolts. Another thing I did differently was to disconnect the kill wires to the coils and just use the fuel solenoid to stop the tractor which it does about three seconds after turning off the key switch. Maybe wrong for some of you ,but at least the carb stays dry

Great Video... I had been wondering about the steps to take BEFORE doing any Cranking to it....I'm working on a 19hp V-Twin myself, that I picked up & had been sitting for awhile.. when I checked for compression by just turning by hand. I noticed that it does have both compression strokes but must have been stored on its side at one point because it has some oil coming from the exhaust pipe on the side it was leaned to. .... Should I just top off the oil and bottle feed it to see if it will crank over first? or tear it down and check out everything before cranking? and BTW.... glad your comment section is back to working again.

The irony of your oil problem is its the other side you need to worry about. If it was me I would pull both spark plugs and spray PB blaster or something of that category in the hole and turn it over a good 10 or so rotations. The first time you start it up expect it to smoke for a solid 30 minutes AKA do it outside.
