I don't understand why they are giving you a hard time about Jack driving in the videos. I've seen kids younger than Jack driving on several other channels. It's on your property and he is dang near old enough to drive on the road legally. I love what you guys are doing. Keep up the great work!

I don’t do any you tube channel, but I do have 3 kids and 11 grandchildren. I’ve started all my kids and working on the tenth of my grandchildren right now. We start on private property and then move onto back roads. By the time they start driver’s education, by God they’re ready for it. Laws or no laws! Keep doing what you’re doing, you are building the next generation of survivors!

Keeping children locked in a bubble and not allowing them to learn real life lessons is endangering them more in my opinion. My dad taught me to drive at a very young age and they are my fondest memories.

My very first car was a 1967 VW Beetle. Dark blue. My Daddy taught me how to remove disassemble clean reassemble and reinstall the carburetor and the fuel pump on it. He taught me so much with that car. I’m a female and now I am paralyzed from the chest down and can only dream about what I used to could do. Enjoy the lessons you teach your boys. This is one of the best times you will have in your life.

I remember my brother getting a B&W and him working on it . That was before UTube (58 years ago) was a lot of laughter but more swear words . Brought back some sweet memories.

This is the first video I have watched, but I will be going back through the past videos to catch up. As for Jack driving, I say the more experience he has before he hits the road, the better he will be when he gets out there. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to catching up with your work.

I worked at a VW garage for the summer when I was 16 years old. Have a lot of memories of that summer. It was fun working on them. How fast we could rebuild an engine on one of them. We could have it in the shop and out that day. Sometimes, we get two out in one day. One of the memories of that summer was after work. I went to my brother's house there in town to get cleaned up so it wouldn't take that so long to get over to my girlfriend's house for the date we had that night. I got my bath and got my clothes on and realized I didn't have my dress shoes. All I had was my old Grease shoes. So I had to make that trip home to get my shoes. It was a 20-mile round trip, but I made it back to get her about 10 minutes later than I said I would be. That old 57 Chevy got me there. Love you'll stay safe, and God bless. Dan 🇺🇸

Yeah that's a nice Vocho. If you go to Mexico you'll see lots of families still owning one and hoping for it to still roll. They're still really common there, watching one being brought back to life in the US feels really nice.

My first car was an older VW bug , hard top with a rag top, and the gas gauge was the tire iron with gauged markings on it to tell you how much gas you had ! I had a ball with it I even rolled it in the salt flats where I lived in California, only damage done was three fenders dented, let it st for a few minutes and drove it home ! Loved that bug !

I know this is usually a "guys" channel but I have enjoyed watching and learning from you and Jack. I used to sit outside with my dad and hand tools to him he didn't get mad at me as much as he did my brothers. I learned from him but mostly I enjoy Jack !! I love watching him.🎉

Great video you really should move the fuel hose away from the distributor in case it leaks . In my bug I ran a pice of steel line around the engine then short pice of hose both ends . Seen to many bugs catch fire from leaking gas over exhaust and distributor.

If you put a magnet on the end of the chain of your little strainer, you could stick it to the lid of your ultrasonic cleaner and pull it out when you open the top.

Good grief! I grew up on a farm. As soon as we could reach the pedals and stick shift, we were in a truck or piece of farm equipment. We used old telephone books to look over the steering wheel

I had a "74 Beetle just like that, except red in color...loved that car...easy if you need to work on...pull 4 bolts and drop the engine to put on the bench

I really enjoy your content! Thank you for all the hard work making the videos and doing the wrenching. I know it's harder than people think it is. What happened to the Starliner?? I do like all the cars and Gojacks as well but to be a bit honest (I'm brutal sometimes sorry LOL) your videos seem to jump around a lot in the order and a guy looks forward to seeing the next part of a build or car repair. Man Kent I’m so jealous of that beetle I’ve been looking for one where im at in Ky but you can’t find and that aren’t all rusted out unfortunately. You’re so lucky that you live in a dryer climate.

If the gaskets are leaking it means the floats either too high or the needle and seat is sticking after doing the carburetor you should check the valve adjustment

Dude that is so stupid jack did great I’m only 13 and I drive no problems if kids have the knowledge they should be able to drive even on there own property on my farm I would drive my truck around just fine KZread need to lighten up a bit but y’all are awesome and Jack you are real lucky to have a dad that gave you a car and helped you work on it

Haters will hate!! If you want your youngin' to learn how to drive at an young age,... then do it!! It only makes them better and safer drivers on the road. I always encourage the younger folk to get their drivers license as soon as they turn the required age. The problem is, the old school ways (which are way better) are forgotten and a bunch of "Karen's" took it's place. They should just realize that the kids are our future. Teach them well!!!! This is an awesome channel and that's a cool trick. When I clean the carb on my machine I'm going to try the Pine-Sol. I'm betting it does wonders on small engines as well. Thanks for the tip!!

My 1969 had an oil bath air cleaner...Coleman fuel cleans carbs nice and shiny. Purple Power works nice too. Perhaps a Farm License for Jack would get YT to change their minds.

Simple Green is known to corrode aluminum. Not allowed for use on aircraft.

I was 14 learning to drive in residential streets so I could get my learners permit. People need to stop imposing their insecurities on others. It isn’t that deep.

I worked in a scrap yard as a teenager back in the 70's and watched a man pull the engine out of a VW bug by hand! The engine weights less than 200 lbs.

A minor under 15 driving a vehicle on private property is considered child endangerment by community guidelines? I ran myself over with my 1986 Suzuki ATV not enclosed footwells like modern ATVs leg went back and the rear tires took me down popped the ATV into neutral pushed it off and hopped back on if open always wear jeans. Also tipped a Go-Kart on its side hit the shut-off switch took off the seatbelt up-righted the Go-Kart after explaining to parents I was fine restarted and hopped back in. Danger would be my oil changes on my previous car no ramps, no jack stands and a floor jack or the vehicle scissor jack. Your Vehicles with no air bags and a properly adjusted seat with the ability to reach petals and see clear through the windshield. At Most I would see dented tin on your shop and a damaged hood, fender bumper or light from a VW bug in a low gear. The Injury chance is realistically under 1% if you taught on flat open ground or a sight up hill. If under 12 driving a 90s or early 00s vehicle with an active driver airbag I could see it the injury risk goes up. I see kids racing cars on a track and on dirt bikes on KZread so I don't see the problem with someone under 16 driving on private property with adult supervision let alone with a adult in the vehicle.
