Will it Bend? Creating Bendable Layers in Blender
In this video I show how you can easily create bending layers in Blender. I am personally very fond of figures that show the layers peeling away as it helps differentiate each component.
As always, CGFigures is best enjoyed at x2 speed because that's how he edits.

After countless hours of how to make a paper curl. Struggling with curves, failed at setting up bones. FINALLY, someone explains to me a method that is not only intuitive, but also easy to follow. Thank you
The best tutorial ever, learning so many shortcuts and tips of blender I never knew before. Just loved it.
Information that will fit into 10 videos is packed into this single video. Thanks mate.
This video was incredibly informative, Thank you so much for teaching me. I now feel confident using these modifiers
Thank you so much, this was super helpful. Especially with the hot keys communicated visually and through audio
Thank you so much for this great helpful tutorial. Thanks
Funny I rediscovered this excellent tutorial, and it helped me to make en excellent illustration for a future paper on flexible electronics. Thanks !
Thanks, just started Blender and you saved my sanity !

Amazing!
legend. thank you man.
❤ Thanky ou so much ! 🙏
A million thanks to author!
Thank you!!!!!
Great video 👌👌
ajudou muito obrigado
You can, I think, use vertex weight to control the bend, by using a "vertex proximity" modifier
I remember back in Blender days of 2007 when doing this was crazy hard.

It's amazing how far it's come. It's even more amazing how fast it keeps adding new capabilities

Excellent ! Now, let's say that I have a sheet of material with a bunch of column perpendicular to the surface of the sheet. I want to bend the material and keep the column perpendicular to the surface (or in fact perpendicular to the tangent of the surface)... how would I do that ?

Hi Cyril, that would depend on how you placed the columns. If you used a particle system to place the columns you should be able to change the rotation setting to make everything align the way you've described. Just explore the different rotation options until you find the right one. If you modeled the columns directly in place I'm not sure it would be possible.

Can you please help in creating a metal cutting chips in blender

Hi Pradeep, can you clarify what you mean by metal cutting chips? If you have examples can you please email them to me?
What I notice with most of these scripts it make work takes too much time when they simple could have had default models and then use connecting tools to connect modules. Seeing that most persons use this apparatus to make game mods and a host of other things.
you should use Bender
Go home KZread! You're drunk! I watched this a couple days ago, why are you putting this in my notifications now?
