Will it Bend? Creating Bendable Layers in Blender

In this video I show how you can easily create bending layers in Blender. I am personally very fond of figures that show the layers peeling away as it helps differentiate each component.
As always, CGFigures is best enjoyed at x2 speed because that's how he edits.

After countless hours of how to make a paper curl. Struggling with curves, failed at setting up bones. FINALLY, someone explains to me a method that is not only intuitive, but also easy to follow. Thank you

You can, I think, use vertex weight to control the bend, by using a "vertex proximity" modifier

Excellent ! Now, let's say that I have a sheet of material with a bunch of column perpendicular to the surface of the sheet. I want to bend the material and keep the column perpendicular to the surface (or in fact perpendicular to the tangent of the surface)... how would I do that ?

Hi Cyril, that would depend on how you placed the columns. If you used a particle system to place the columns you should be able to change the rotation setting to make everything align the way you've described. Just explore the different rotation options until you find the right one. If you modeled the columns directly in place I'm not sure it would be possible.

What I notice with most of these scripts it make work takes too much time when they simple could have had default models and then use connecting tools to connect modules. Seeing that most persons use this apparatus to make game mods and a host of other things.
