Agree this is a fantastic solution! I would maybe get a different eye color and then match it to the inside of the ears as well. Or if you're thinking of some hooves for it...

You can make it with different colored ears like a pastel cyan and yellow and make it look like a classic stuffed elephant from everyone’s child hoods ❤

Ugh, I hate yarn chicken and refuse to play, you’re a brave soul for even trying!!! Give him complementary yellow ears with a purple dot in the middle! That would look cute! 🥰

You could put patches of other colored yarn over the ears and body of it so it looks like it's a patched up elephant. Then you might have enough yarn for both ears!

Maybe you could make the ears two different colours, that would be really adorable

how about making a portion of the head and one ear black, or white, or a slightly different shade of pink, as a contrasting spot, kinda like virtiligo on the elephant

At least its the ears, no one would think of it as a desing flaw if you made the ears a few shades different from the body

You could use a similar yarn and fade the pink out on both ears with the remaining yarn to a different pink

I think it’s a style for it to have different colored ears. I also think a light blue would look good with that color.

I think there needs to be a yarn swap community online where people can post what they have in their collection and what they're looking For, for a project. And then the third party can somehow arrange it so neither one of the people get scammed and they can send each other the yarn 1 way around.. Not really good at logistics myself.. But it needs to happen because so many people have little bits of yarn that they don't need or yarn that they're looking for and to this and people would be able to finish more projects.. And this will get rid of lots of waste

Try slowing down a bit and use stitch markers, I usually mark where I start doing different stitches so I can keep track of how many stitches I have. I had to take apart one of my pieces twice yesterday because I kept messing up the chains.

you can do a blend for the ears and use different colors for the ears so like the original color at the root then making your way down to the bottom you can add lighter colors
