Although comical, I think this theory may be a bit of a reach. I remember listening to Kanye's "Last Call" and toward the end when he's talking about how he got signed, he mentioned how linking with Kweli was one of the greatest things that happened for his career. The following quote taken from the song via genius: "My relationship with Kweli I think was one of the best ones to ever happen to my career as a rapper. Because, you know, of course, later he allowed me to go on tour with him. Man, I appre-- I love him for that." ---Ye

I think ye never found himself when he was young and who he was around, became who he was. For instance he and his mom were super close. She was the college professor, teacher, activist..so Kanye took on that with making soulful music etc... at that time in his life the people who were most relatable was common, mos and kweli...black empowerment, activism and soulful, poetic demeanor. As he gets more famous and starts hanging with jay more and farther from his moms he starts to become more of that and less the ye of his first album. Fast forward his mom passes which is hard on anyone but imagine for a person who never really found himself, so now he has to foundation to come back to. Hooks up with Kim and becomes Hollywood ish. Got with billionaires and start making space cloths. I hope one day he really finds himself and can be happy

Hell yeah they were using em. I would have too. She used them too to get on, without the BEP she would be a nobody, without the BEP she's still a bit of a nobody.

His mom didn’t raise him that way. He doesn’t like the media and public that much as seen in the doc, but he learned how to put on a fake front. Is his facade the best? No by no means but he tries. @@book2316 okay, when you work in the entertainment industry, you’re essentially a character. You feel Kanye is transparent because that is quite literally his “character” traits. These people are professionals for a reason. The soul purpose, in today’s industry due to the increase of social media (but starting with the grown infatuation with reality tv), is to humanize such characters. This is all important for marketing to know which groups to reach to optimize product sales and sale-ability or “future sales”. It’s actually pretty cool to know all the work that goes into the product we receive.
