Something about David Benavidez is that he has that on going switch when he fights and doesn’t stop when he locks 🔒 in

His right hand is a sniper. I’m excited to see how he looks at 175

This fight is going to be harder than anyone seems to think...nobody has ever hit Benavidez as hard as Gvozdyk is going to hit him. I expect Benavidez to be as excellent as he was at 168lb and still huge for the new weight class. I predict that with Gvozdyk's experience he'll look good in there (3 warm up fights last year helped a lot), different than 4 or 5 years ago but he'll still look good I reckon. I look for him to box smart, be cagey and hit Benavidez with real LHW power to put the brakes on David's relentless marching forward. You would be taking a risk to pick against Benavidez with the roll he is on but, consider that David hasn't fought a puncher of note in years and years and no, Lemieux probably doesn't count as he was just old and tired by then. All his premium, high profile wins are against guys that moved naturally, coul be readily induced to do it again and didn't hit very hard even when they sat down on their shots all of which allowed David to chase them without much worry of what was coing back at him. The Nail is no joke, even an old nail can still be sharp.
