Why do you American guys think that fighting in America is the be all end all. There's more money to be made elsewhere. A bang average fight in the UK can bring in 25000 fans. Boxing has gone underground in America.
Seeing Inoue in NY during the Puerto Rican day parade fights, at a Yankees game and dressed like Tony Soprano was pretty wild.
Until the USA show support for the lower weight divisions and present the bigger market than Japan. Why would Inoue fight in the USA?
I'm from the U.S., and am a big Inoue fan, so I definitely want him to fight here, even if I'm unable to attend the fight in person, at least I can watch the fight on TV at a reasonable hour. There are a lot of fans who have been critical of Inoue for fighting mostly in Japan, but there are quite a few fighters who haven't ever left the U.S., including Floyd Mayweather. And, I would assume that the reason why fighting in the U.S. is significant is because of the number of high quality opponents here compared to the rest of the world. That would make sense if Inoue was only fighting domestic opponents, and avoiding the top guys in his division, which is obviously not the case, so why the double standard?
When Inoue returned to Japan and was interviewed at the airport, he was asked if he would like to have another fight in the U.S. He said he could sense that American boxing fans and Bob Arum wanted to see his matches, so he would like to fight in the U.S. again.
I'm Japanese. Inoue's fight money in Japan is about 1 billion yen. I don't think there will be a war in the United States unless you get a considerable amount of money as Inoue himself said. To be clear, for Inoue, there is no merit in fighting in the United States.

That’s like 6 million US. Fight Tank at 130 he’ll make double that bare minimum lol. 🤷🏾 he doesn’t need it but if it was just for really good money Tank is probably the closest he’ll get

Inoue is building Japanese boxing! Imagine boxing over the next 2 decades as a result!
Inoue is a monster i saw every of his fights at 6:00am was the last one..he got power and skills and speed kills..
In an interview after returning to Japan, Naoya Inoue said that he wanted to fight in the U.S. again. American boxing fans, would you like to see Naoya Inoue fight in person?

What is the obsession with making him fight in the US? The US boxing scene is trash right now. All the Europeans are fighting each other while in the us you literarily have 6 stars all avoiding each other tank, Teo, Stevenson, Ryan etc….. Teo is fighting who?? 😂

Not an obsession but historically the greats have all fought in the US consistently. If you listened to our discussion you’d hear that he doesn’t need to leave Japan.

Real fans stay up at all hours to watch the games. Non-American sports fans have gotten up in the middle of the night to watch Tiger, Jordan, Maradona, and the stars of Wimbledon. There is no reason why Americans can't.
If you guys can do host gatherings for certain fights, it’s lit, just saying 👀

Naoya has to say what he needs to say to please some people, unless you pay him what he's worth he won't fight anywhere just to please a few hundred yanks🤣🤣
He fought twice in the USA but why he gonna fight in the USA if making more money in Japan then he make in USA
he already fought here when he was at 118

Maybe if Inoue was in his late 20's, maybe he'd be interested in a US megafight. But at this age and making as much as he does in Japan, i dont think he gives a rat's. Honestly, after selling out the Tokyo Dome, pretty much any venue in the US is gonna be a downgrade.
Lol the white shadow
Good show as always from you guys and as I commented on your last show..Ohtani/Betts over Soto/Judge. Go Dodgers. Should've been a sweep

@InsideBoxingLive true but that was just for that weekend. Hopefully we'll get a Dodgers/Yankees World Series. Zayas calling out Lubin makes sense but Ortiz is someone he shouldn't mess with I think but I like his confidence
Do you think any difference if he fight in the US ? Maybe because the reffs sometimes unpredictable
There is star or superstar in America around those weight divisions that can generate that type of money to bring INoue to America...So why would inoue go back to America? He's the lottery and cash cow and he generates money in Japan so why would he leave Japan. Unless turki alashi pays him alot of money to fight in the UK, then inoue will go back to the UK
Broner got seriously hurt 😢
Storm Shadow. There is no White Shadow lmao!!!
Chris Algeiri has a book? What's the title?
The question you boxing journos need to be asking is will smoke and mirror fighter Tank Davis ever stop ducking the best fighters in every division he has ever campaigned in
If I'm Top Rank, i'm a happy camper when it comes to the monster. Because Inoue is breaking revenue numbers in Japan (you sold out a 55,000 seat stadium in the Tokyo Dome), there really is no need to come to the US and fight. Like Inside Boxing mentioned, no boxer is doing that here in the US. Canelo - Charlo and Crawford-Spence fights sold out an only 20,000 seat venue at the T-Mobile Arena. Inoue is selling out more than twice the number of seats. That's NFL numbers and he's doing that without making his fight a PPV event. Imagine if he fought on a PPV card. Top Rank, Inoue and his opponent promoters would make a butt load of money. Atm, no need for Inoue to fight outside the US because he's making a butt load of money for everyone, including his opponent.
Canelo put 75k fans in AT&T stadium in the middle of the pandemic..CANELO is the man..👍

Chris Algieri is a nice guy...but he beat a face-first Ruslan Provodnikov and won a lightly regarded WBO belt. Sorry, but winning a "world title" now is not as prestigious as winning one in the 1970's, 1980's or 1990's, when you had to be elite to even challenge for a belt. Now, the sanctioning organizations have completely ruined the sport with the proliferation of meaningless belts and inferior fighters. I think my next door neighbor has a WBC belt of some sort, and my mailman is also ranked by the IBF. Get real.

@bengolfs1

@InsideBoxingLive "World champ" is a completely meaningless title nowadays, and it has been for decades. It's way too easy to acquire a belt without being elite. Too many examples of transitory fighters who won a title and then never defended it and were never heard from again. Even "undisputed" is a misleading term. Back in the day, that term was reserved for the very elite...Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield. Now? Josh Taylor, Teofimo Lopez, Devin Haney, Jermell Charlo, Cory Spinks. Shall I continue? Titles are only for marketing purposes in most cases and to attract the casual fan. Anyone unwilling to accept that is lying to themselves.
Sorry but Messi is the best Short king in the world Innoue is probably top 3 though

In order to even buy a ticket to see Inoue's fights in Japan you have to win a lottery unless he fights in Tokyo Dome again that accommodates 55K people I heard his main income source are from corporate sponsors and TV commercials that pay him about $10M/yr, and a fight money is extra. I heard this 5 yrs ago so he must be earning much more now
