One can't forget : Chuckwueze and Okafor have to prove that they can provide goals and assists JUST AS MUCH as Pulisic!!.. At Chelsea the various coaches had a bias towards an US player vs the big money signings from Europe.... Werner, Havertz, Sterling, Mount etc. could put in poor performance after poor performance and Tuchel etc would continue starting them. One ineffective game from CP and he was on the bench for the next 3 games +. Here at AC Milan all of the new signings are given a fresh slate and need to prove it on tge field. Given Pulisic's experience at club and national team level of showing up for big games, big moments when given he trust from his coach: I back Pulisic to show hiss quality and even make himself undroppable.

People seem to be underrating his preseason performances. He was not too flashy but was very productive -- many assists, drawing and finishing the penalty.

Pioli really uses all 5 of his subs because of how much the team presses. Even if he isn't starting, he will be playing, so Pulisic will get his opportunities. Pioli has players that he favors and if Pulisic is one of them (and it seems he is) then Pioli will stick with them even through bad performances.

Pullisic started to get good near the end when he was at dortmund then he went to Chelsea and hit his wall the question now is dose he find a way to break through that wall or dose he fall off completely he seems more motivated at ac Milan which is a good sign but still hasn’t broken through ac Milan seems like his last chance to make it or break it if he doesn’t it’s mls if he dose who knows

Agree. Though, comparing both & favoring one against the other will not help the team win. Chuk was at Valencia and did well - half dozen goals & assist. CP has CL experience under his belt & plays well with Giroud. The team will need both of them fit as the season is long, formations will change & players will get hurt. Look at Chelsea today; still struggling with injuries.

Love CP11 and want an American to become part of the soccer elite, but he looked average in the preseason games i saw

@@thejcpworld there is no need to be hostile, just take a look a the players objectively, Pulisic is an average right winger and chukweze when he is on, he is a top player, so unless Pulisic is played as a tre quartista, he will lose the starting position really fast. His best chance is for loftus cheek to suck which is highly possible, and then Pioli will have to go back to the previous system. Because you are an American you can cheer for your players, but reality is reality if you know football

Base on what evidence? Speed? Assists? Scoring & with both feet? Champions League experience? Physical fitness? Speed is not all - Ask Mabape. Anywho, players will get hurt & all players need to be ready.

Pulisic seems too uncomfortable on the right. It feels like it’s setting him up for failure. If he doesn’t play middle, I think he will be relegated to being a sub for Leao or Chuck.

Agree on Leao but Chuk still needs to prove himself as he hasn't won anything yet. CP at least has top 4 finish in PL & CL experience to his resumé. Obviously, coach will need both to win the league or CL.
