i think we could still see it Q3, near the start it is cutting it close but if you come to the end of Q3 that is when Margaret no doubt will take a step back for the birth of her baby kind of makes more sense to drop it while she is still there and actively working to help rather than drop it and then be down one of the main members of staff, other than that we would see a delay but my minds still fully set on early Q3.

@@contortzz Steven mentioned that PI members would be testing Character Creator in about 1 month. Should be soon.

gray shirt guy is going to be right, Q4 A2 and 2027 release. They are going to find out a whole bunch of their planned game design won't actually work in A2 and they'll spend years refining and fixing

Agreed on 2027+. Even 2027 might be a bit optimistic. This game is such a massive undertaking and they're still quite a long ways from finishing. Any 2026 or sooner projections are delusional

Will probably be August i think because summer holidays. The birthday launch scans tho. The Gold feather Tavern lady (Bree?) Had a good answer. They announced the quarter aiming for the start of it and having 2 months of leeway, bwcause Steven Time is a thing.

Okay, I think the only real answer for release dates "we simply don't have enough information about the state of the game and its systems." When it comes to Alpha 2 release date we know Q3, and probably the August guess is smartest. In the middle, allowing time for it to be pushed if need be etc. The length of Alpha 2 is something unanswerable until we playing it. Once we know how developed all of the classes and their respective archetypes are. How developed each Artisian class is, the weapon skill trees, the Node system which we've been told we'll only see up to a certain Node level during Alpha 2 (is this because the other levels aren't done or they don't want to spoil it? We just don't know). There is so many other systems to mention in here that we've only seen a surface level of and haven't actually had any non-developer, public relations hands/eyes on them. Give the community two weeks of playing Alpha 2, which however many zones, systems, classes, artisans classes, etc are up and running and we can give real credible speculation on the length of Alpha 2. Until then, enjoy the monthly updates

I wake up everyday like it'll be a surprise A2 release day.

My bet is Fall (November) 2025 for Live.

Zero.* *I think A2 would have already started, but selling well over 200K A2 packs caused Steven to raise the quality bar.* *A2 starts in July, runs for a year, B1-B2 3 months, release October 2025. But again, they can do whatever they want.*

B1 is when the full map will be included, so I'd have to assume that B1 will be more than a couple weeks. Prob more like a couple months. B2 would be 2-3 weeks perhaps, but my money is still on 2027 for full release.

I played the Crowfall Alphas, and then eventually sold my 500$ Kick starter account for 450$. Thankfully I got most of my money back

If they have great automated regression testing, the production time could be substantially reduced.

I think long testing phases won't be as big of a problem because of how fast intrepid has been going.

There's no shot the game releases in less than 1 year of alpha 2. No shot. Not with how massive this game is.

Internal roadmap probably August. If something happens they have one month to fall back and open the gates to Verra in September. They said they have the assets of 7 out of (18?) biomes. The right continent is not in the game. We have not seen all base classes and so on. Alpha for 3 years. The last year will have 2 betas. Release in 2027. People forget that even if everything is in the alpha - you have to test that stuff. That takes time.

Do you think they should push launch until every single mechanic and node is implemented or release earlier and implement stuff like naval warfare and more nodes at a later date? Even if it means that the game launches 2 years earlier/later depending on that choice? Let's say 2026 vs 2028.

If this game is expected to release in 2027, forget it, we've all moved on by then. You cannot expect to maintain hype for this long. IMHO. Also, I'm just that impatient.

Jesus, some of these "optimistic" answers are the exact reasons why there are so many whiners spreading hate and rumours in these comment sections. I like some of the older people's answers. - Late Alpha 2 start. - Long Alpha 2. - I think there will be a longer break between Alpha 2 and Beta 1 than some of those Alpha testers want to admit to themselves. Keeping servers online and maintained is expensive; the main development needed at that time won't be "balancing," it'll be creating quests, level design, dungeon/boss fight design, and node-type-specific AND season/climate-specific asset design. - Decent Beta 1 & Beta 2 troubleshooting of server capacities; perhaps network code and graphics performance optimisation efforts. Total? Idk, could be 2027, could be 2031. Perhaps some funding drama in-between. What matters to me is that we've seen so much functional, passionate design that we know that if Intrepid wants more time and funding to deliver a product that will captivate the masses for many years with a fulfilling experience, then they can get that time and that funding. And that's what I hope they will do. The one thing I don't need is another rushed failed MMO that's nothing but dailies, constant pointless distracting events, soul-less dungeons, and soul-less PvP dictated by a few dominant tryhard & zerg guilds. If that happens, I give up on the genre.

lmao I don't think so there's still a lot of tweaks POST A2 test cause this test will determine what they will do with some classes, sieges, bosses, dungeons etc. there's so much too change after a major test because there will be issues as with every alpha test which is nothing but good progress imo NOT a bad thing at all.

@ZybakTV I can agree on that but I highly doubt full release next year. The sheer depth of the systems in this game need to be smooth and feel natural in players everyday grind. That will be hard to fine tune in such a short window imo.

7:07 saying a beta runs for a year is insane.... Beta's are no longer than a few weeks...

I think Alpha 2 will still release in Q3, but I think people will lose sight that its still an ALPHA and expect more polished features/systems in this early testing phase. I expect plenty of issues to arise with the sheer size of the game and amount of different systems intended to interact with one another. Full release in 2028 at the earliest :)

i would preffer alpha2 had winows or maybe 1-2 weeks every 3 months when its playable .. imagine 2 years of alpha2.. and if they wanna show everything thats gonna be on live game ppl will discover everything there is to game before even full release. theres alot to this game dont think we getting full release before 2027.. praying im wrong
