WILKO Cactus Trio Grow Kit! Three seed packets! Fun & Easy! Growing Cactus from Seed
Bought a Growing Cactus Seeds kit from WILKO on the high Street, here in the UK.
IT COST ONLY 60p per pack, at time of purchase, August 2022.
So x3 packets of cactus seeds, way more than enough Coco Coir discs(had loafs left over) x3 little pots, and the plastic packaging can be used to hold pots and act as a propagator, so don't rip the packaging open.
Note: the seed packets are stapled between the cardboard packaging.
BARGAIN PRICE, so why not give it a go!

I FOLLOWED PACKET INSTRUCTIONS SO I DIDN'T ADD ANY MORE POTTING MIXES OR ANYTHING, JUST WANNA SEE HOW IT WORKS WITH JUST WHATS PROVIDED!
I did cover the plastic pack with a zip seal bag just to avoid too much moisture loss.
cactus seeds need lots of moisture to germinate.

The Giant Western seeds (the Suguaro cactus) has sprouted on 3rd day after sowing 😊

What will they look like when fully grown ?

@@theresafreemantle1457 In natural habitat, columnar tall cactus with some other arms or stems going of the sides, they live upwards for about 200 years. In cultivation they are slow growing cactus, but are columnar shape with many spines at a young age. They are the typical image of a cactus you'd imagine in the desert, with the arms off the side. 😄🌵

I think I saw. Echinocactus grusonii - golden barrel, Carnagia gigantea- saguaro & what was the third one? Couldn't make out the label. Deb bought me one of these kits with the same two first ones & aloe ferox. Only 3 seeds of the aloe. And all 3 came up!! The saguaro are still small, size of a large marble. The biggest golden barrels is about golf ball size. The aloes out grew both!!! Largest about 5 inches tall & 6 inches wide!! Best of luck with your son's new cactus seedlings!!! That's great to hear your seed kit was a success 😀 such a cheap price, they had bonsai tree kits too 😄 The third cactus was just described on the packet as 'Clumping' it wasn't given a name which seems odd.
