A child of the 60s, I was never a hippy or a “flower child” because I didn’t have any money from my parents. I had to make money (in those days a young working-class woman had only two job options, secretary or teacher) as I put myself through college. Excellent show, as ever.

Rly good episode. Now that we've correctly and thoroughly diagnosed American Maoism, can we pls make it stop before we all die? Lol.

Will is great! I was born in 1960 and agree with him on just about everything that he's had to say. I describe myself as a (irreligious) commonsense conservative/rational rightist (not far-right!). My views used to be the norm across the board, not all that long ago, sadly, no longer.

Wilfred’s great, love his Hate Crime hoax book- just two small points: if I knew someone whose parent was a teacher, they would definitely be middle class in my book (I’m English) and the pre industrial life expectancy was only 37ish because it’s an average and child mortality was so high, not because most people could only expect to live to their mid to late thirties

Fighting for, 'nearly a year'? According to scholars on both sides, they have been fighting for several millennia.
