Ray gets exited about every country he's in but you do always find the place where you first connected with the wilderness, maybe a bit more special, mine was western Canada and the north west United States. I've been to a fair few places since then but that will always be my favourite place.

Ray Mears is a superb and knowledgeable wildlife presenter, it's a shame BBC don't sign him up for some series.

To be fair, you’re not 20 odd feet up a ladder when dealing with them, plus these are wild bees, but.....what do I know, I don’t keep them😄🤓!

@@Mat-kr1nf Speaking as a beekeeper, I can say your comment is totally valid 🐕👊 I will do very lightly invasive hive work without protection. After a few minutes of checking their mood. If I'm gunna cause a fuss I get suited up. That said.... I blummin really suffer when stung! LOLZ I swell like a balloon and itch like fk for a week. 🤣

Speaking as someone in heavily grazed land with a hunting machine of a Doberman, I'm fully aware such places are thriving with small mammals 🐕

Ehm so she's been meddling with those chicks, putting on metal beads that throw off their balance and brightly coloured stickers that ruin any camouflage for two decades and their numbers have dropped by half over the past 20 years. Am I the only one thinking like this?
