The British government should not be allowing the hardening of the shoreline by permitting retaining walls. A 3:1 slope of small stone over filter cloth in problem areas will work. Everything else should be left vegetated and natural in spite of the wealthy landowner's desire for a pristine lawn right to the water's edge. Terry

westmeathguy our government is so corrupt though, most of them only care about money although there are some good ones, you would never get them to do that. I agree though I think it should be kept natural

Are we not going to talk about how these orchids look not so much like a lady with a bonnet, but rather like a gentleman with his junk out, wearing a helmet?

+Catonius Just a little tip: Put the time stamp like 3 seconds earlier than what you mean, when I click 10:28 it'll skip over the thing you wanted me to hear, if I put 10:25 it'll do it right. :)

Anyone knows what tent (or kind) is Ray using right at the beginning?

Great stuff. It's sad that most brits can't enjoy the areas that famous Ray can get into. But then, it is a relatively small place isn't it? The beauty of nature is always at risk, especially when "Modern Charlie" is muckin' about.

Those King Alfred's Buns fungus do look like turds, I thought the Bear Grills pressure had got to him for a second and he was lighting up turds, can happen to anyone, the minds a fragile thing.

I like Ray but I'm always amazed at how much equipment he hauls about. So much heavy, pointless kit, usually so he can make ridiculous meals. If he's going to take a landrover, kettle, canoe, pans etc, just bring a lighter ffs.
