You've cornered a market. There's a lot of reviews of this module, but nothing explaining the real grit and specifics. Great video. Im a DM myself and I'm always looking for in depth explanations of such things, if you ever need help just ask. You've made a new subscriber today.

I’m running STK for my group right now and I got to say your videos are very helpful. Please continue to do more and keep up the fantastic work. Although it’s a daunting task I plan to create a scene, image or description of every location a quest may lead the party to even though they may never visit the location. Then afterwards I'll try to connect the dots and steer the party to stay on track of the MSQ . It would be epic if you would create content for every location that relates to a quest or suggested encounter. It would be the ultimate guide to STK! Either way this guide including others I’ve seen on the internet have been some of the top best KZread videos for STK .

I appreciate the feedback, that would be quite the undertaking! There's so many locations in chapter three it would take an entire series to cover all the possibilities! I would love to revisit some of the other locations in the future and expand upon them, thank you for the suggestion.

I'm not sure if you would care to share your work, but if you can, could you share the doc or whatever you wrote on for the descriptions? I'm running a group through SKT now and the descriptions in the book leave me wanting more to work with. Either way, thanks a lot!

Next to the mentioned DMs Guild extra quests, your videos are the best guides how to run SKT in the internet. Great help on Chapter 2 in your previous video, and now after watching this, even Chapter 3 doesn't seem so frightening as before.

The part I’ve been struggling with most in prepping for STK are the immense distances and travel needed… even at 2x rolls per day, that’d easily be 50 rolls to get to bryn Shander from Neverwinter or back… as much as I love the setting, a good reason to stick to Triboar! 😄 Thanks a bunch for the helpful videos and definitely like the idea of getting access to the griffons longer-term

Remember that for this system I only have an encounter if the roll is above a 17 on the d20! But I agree, it can be better to just run random encounters whenever appropriate

Good point - I got an idea. For longer journeys, I could run it a week at a time and have them do all 14 (or 20 depending on your week) rolls at once. And then have tweaked tables for # of rolls higher than 17. 1-2 would be the standard table, 3-4 would be a bit rougher, 5+... I'll look at the probability charts. That'd be fun for the Players to know that they've got something increasingly dreadful on the way as they "crit" their random encounter rolls - it's a bit of extra work but not too bad. Thinking similar to the Drakkenheim D6 random encounter approach, if you're familiar with it Thanks again for the inspiration and great summary!

I discuss my ideas for those first 5 locations in the video! Sorry if that was unclear, I don’t have anything else written up besides the video script. Apologies! Edit: to be clear when I say “first five locations” I am referring to the first five in my top ten list. Appreciate the compliment, thanks for watching!

@@ConeofCool I will admit I feel silly now, since you obviously did talk through your additional ideas... thanks! Im thinking of combining the hunt for the Giant slayer sword with Kraken's Gamble - as a reward for vanquishing the aboleth. Plus one of the characters is from yartar, an ex-member of the hand of yartar! They also have a fondness for Dasharra, as we've just done fireshear, so i like the idea of keeping her around and possibly managing the airship (they currently have a sending stone to contact her)

you can skip chapter 3 if the party finds a Hill Giant and follows it to the lair; you'll get the quest item and then just need to get to the Oracle and skip all the barrow mounds and tedium

While this is possible in the original scope of the adventure, I do not recommend it! Kills the pacing and the quest for the giant relics is a great part of the adventure imo
