We have a trip planned in October. We have a 7 and 3 year old. Do you think the 3 year old will be able to do any of the water slides? He will be 4 when we go

It depends on the 4 year olds height. If they are below 42 inches there won’t be much they can do. Just the kaleidoscope cavern, the 2 story interactive playground with one slide, a toddler area and the wave pool. By October the outdoor attractions will be closed. Honestly the majority of the slides designated for toddlers are in the outdoor water park unfortunately. That’s not to say they won’t have fun our grandson wasn’t able to ride much but he really enjoyed the wave pool and the new lazy river. Hope you enjoy your trip!

@@TajaiDenae You can find the hours for all of the water parks at Wilderness at the Smokies on their website. I just checked online and they have not posted the hours yet for August and September for the outdoor waterpark. However, in years past Labor Day weekend was the last weekend the outdoor waterpark was operational. The outdoor waterpark is typically only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, but I’m not sure yet if that will be the same this year as they have not posted August and September’s hours yet. 😎

@AgentWick34, I suggest arriving as early as possible. Check in is at 4 PM, but you can pre-register as early as noon and start using the waterpark. It's spring break so it's probably going to be pretty busy, but what we've noticed with water parks/theme parks is, the later it gets, the less crowded it is. Personally, I would split my time up in the water park. I would do a couple of hours early to learn the layout and basically get an idea of what you want to do. Even if there are long lines for the slides at that time, you can swim in the pool, soak in the hot tub and do the lazy river. Then take a break, eat lunch, see the sights or relax in the hotel room for a bit. Your best bet is to head back down to the water park about two hours prior to it closing. Hopefully it'll be less busy and the lines for the new water coaster and more popular slides won't be as long. Hope this helps and you have a great trip!
